They have extensive knowledge of small engine repair, including but not limited to equipment safety, inspection experience, and preventative maintenance. Additionally, this position will utilize technical hands-on skills such as setting heights, sharpening blades, welding materials, making cuts, and more.Ideal candidates have flexible schedules with availability to work weekends and holidays, as needed.Our team has made a conscious effort to ensure strong protocols are in place to keep you and our patrons safe, so you can focus on the customer experience, technical repairs, and operations management.For more information on our open opportunities, apply today!ResponsibilitiesConduct and effective preventative maintenance program in conjunction with operators to reduce mechanical failure and poor performance on all golf course equipmentRepair of all equipment and golf cartsKeep repair and maintenance records on all equipmentInspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical problems for all maintenance equipmentSet heights and sharpen blades on the cutting unitsMake cuts, welds and braze as needed in repairing equipment and mowing unitsPrice comparison on all related parts and materials before orderingMaintain a clean shop area and keep it orderly and efficientMaintain an adequate supply of parts through requisitions to the Purchasing ManagerMonitor gas and fuel levels in storage tanksAssure proper disposal of all related hazardous materialsPerform other duties assigned by supervisor or managerEducation and Experience Requirements1-3 years Mechanic experienceKnowledge of small engine repairAbility to use equipment and tools properly and safelyAbility to inspect equipment and related componentMust be highly motivated, goal driven and self-starterMust have the ability to follow verbal and written instructionsWorking ConditionsRegularly required to reach with hands and armsOften required to stand, walk, push, pull, lift grasp, bend, and kneel for five hours at a time without sittingFrequently is required to sit, climb, or balance, stoop, crawl, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controlsMust be able to lift and/or move up to 30lbs occasionallySpecific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, and depth perceptionModerate exposure to extreme cold, heat, working outdoors, chemicals, pesticides, gasoline, vibration, mechanical hazards, and electrical hazardsDaily exposure to dusts and pollensNoise level is typically loudWork extended hours during golf and holiday seasonWork weekends and holidaysAbout Troon Troon started as one facility in 1990 and has since grown to become the world''s largest professional club management company.
