As a Technology Consultant, you will oversee portions of the early Software setup, customization, concepts, workflows, data exchanges, possible 3rd party collaborations, and sibling technology assets with the goal of proving a customer or company solution. In many cases this will be a creative recombination of existing technologies (or minimal viable product) which although it may address an immediate need, may be the final long-term solution. As with all Simpson Strong-Tie positions, this will require total customer satisfaction to be met or exceeded by providing consultation, technology, and service to our industries.And that''s just the beginning. If career growth is important to you, we not only know how to help you with that, it''s what we love to do: YOU''LL BE DOING (% of Time)Develop customer tailored software solutions that are unique to the client''s building practices. Create macro geometry using software specific programing language or parametric modeling, create and manage component databases, establish Quality Assurance testing across client''s methodologies and train on client specific environment for Simpson''s production services or client. (50%)Perform early discovery and fact finding necessary to ensure the success of future workload performed by other teams. (15%)Provide clear communication to our customers, internal teams or 3rd party collaborators, with associated documentations on newly formed processes and workflows along with leading education sessions to clearly convey the processes/ technology to customers to allow them to take the appropriate next steps. (15%)Hold regular meetings including, but not limited to the following: Project Status reports with team, client updates and requirements.(10%) Create quotes for work being completed based on established contract, while also assisting with producing billing and/or time reporting of the team to management. Create and maintain project schedules in designated application. (10%)DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEIf you can do everything listed above, you''ve got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:Associate of Science Degree (Bachelor''s preferred) in Residential Construction required.3 years'' experience with Residential Construction Documents required.2 years'' experience working with software or technology munication: Ability to write in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience. Ability to effectively present information to groups of managers, team members and customers.Customer Focus: Ability to cultivate relationships that secure commitment and trust with external and internal customer needs.Problem Solving: Use logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions; can see hidden problems; look beyond the obvious and doesn''t stop at the first answers.Creativity: Comes up with a lot of new and unique ideas; easily makes connections among previously unrelated notions; tends to be seen as an original and value-added in brainstorming settings.Quality: Final Quality Control of all deliverables prior to sending directly to the client.Perspective: Looks toward the broadest possible view of an issue/challenge; has a broad-ranging personal and business interests and pursuits; can easily pose future scenarios; can think globally; can discuss multiple aspects and impacts of issues and project them into the anization: The ability to arrange resources to get things done; can orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal; uses resources effectively and efficiently; arranges information and files in a useful manner.Documentation: Assists in the establishment, creation, and maintenance of client specifications and standards. Creates quotes for work being completed based on established contract.Productivity: Develops and maintains moderate productivity speed for themselves and other members of the team; uses time effectively and efficiently; concentrates efforts on the more important priorities.Presentation/Technical Skill: Can effectively communicate all services of the Services division with a client.
