So, whatever your role, if you share our passion for helping others, you''ll be working towards creating a better and fairer future for all.As an Assembler 5, your main responsibility is to perform a variety of electro-mechanical assembly operations using small hand tools, soldering equipment and machinery. This is a 3rd shift position: 11:00pm to 7:00am Sunday night thru Friday morning.You are responsible for Following detailed methods of sequence of operations to ensure documented and controlled processes are followed.Conducting inspection of incoming materials and outgoing finished goods using a microscope.Reporting on cell performances in standup meetings.Participating in projects as a team member in the development of skills, talents and teamwork, to support improvement projects.Demonstrating the Philips Behaviors, treating all team members with respect and valuing their feedback.Building strong teamwork to bring out the best in every employee.A LEAD must:Checks on team multiple times per dayMakes sure team has what they need to be successfulRespond to any issues they may haveEscalates issues they cannot resolve and drives to resolutionCommunicate with cross shift counterpartsReport any production standard or compliance issues to Group LeadCheck standard work to be sure it is being followedPerform time studies to make sure standards are accurateRespond to EDHR grief including corrective actionReview failures from the line, respond to any issuesReview for accuracy and report SICB and Tier 0 DM data to Group LeadGenerate, execute and review training plansIdentify and Support Continuous Improvement OpportunitiesSustain and drive Lean Manufacturing and 6S activitiesCommunication and TeamworkHas a positive attitudeWorks well with the teamOffers solutions to problemsTreats everyone with respectWilling to learn new thingsFlexible, does what it takes to help team be successfulWorks with cross shift counterparts to pass information critical to success of teamReports in standup meetingsHelps plan teambuilding activitiesActions support improving teamHelps resolve issues with communication and teamworkHelps othersFacilitates line meetings when requiredEncourages and motivates the teamUses recognition to reward individual and teamPromotes a positive environmentSupports cross shift counterpartsSupports Leadership teamKeeps team informed with key informationCoaches team and individuals You are part ofPhilips Ultrasound assembly department based in Reedsville, PA. The third shift manufacturing team is responsible for assembling and packaging Philips Ultrasound medical devices.To succeed in this role, you''ll need a customer-first attitude and the followingHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalentPrevious experience managing or leading a team of employeesExperience in manufacturing, service or assembly (a plus, but not required)Capability to use a computer, enter accurate data and focus on detailMust be able to understand and document daily production metricsStrong communication and ability to resolve various issues with production and employeesStrong hand/finger dexterity and hand eye coordination while using a microscope, with the ability to sit or stand at a workbench for extended periods to complete workThis position requires the ability to move on a continuous basis in order to efficiently get to other work areas, frequent lifting up to 15 pounds, occasional lifting up to 40 pounds, ability to reach and ability to use fine manipulation return, we offer youThe ability to collaborate with, learn and grow from colleagues in a highly complex, global organization where you can use your strengths to help drive strategic business initiatives for Philips.
