Learn more at Summary:The Registered Nurse-PHI Float provides clinical nursing care to assigned patients, performing related assessments, procedures and treatments, evaluations, patient care plan development/revisions, and education to patient and/or family. The RN-Float puts the patient first and ensures that high quality care is given to assigned patients by following policies, clinical guidelines, safety systems such as medication scanning and bed alarm use, timely and accurate documentation, core measure compliance and serving as a patient advocate. The RN-Float makes providing an exceptional patient/family experience high priority.The Float Registered Nurse will be trained in one of the following Tier Line: CCU and/or Cardiovascular Care Unit (CCU); CVAR across campuses; Cath Labs across campuses. Critical care RN competencies are required and will primarily float between these areas. Once solid competency and performance is established in one of these areas, Pulse System Float Nurses are expected to expand their competencies in other departments as needed, through ongoing training determined by the Manager of the Pulse System Float Pool. Specialty Trained Pulse System Float Pool Nurses in Critical care may be put into dual competencies such as Cardiovascular Admit/Recovery and Procedure areas (Cath Labs).For tier definitions, CCU is defined as the level of inpatient care not a locationGSH CCU is a combined CCU/CVICU level of care.Tier 1CCU all PHI Business Inpatient unitsCath Lab at all PHI Business sitesCVAR at all PHI business sitesMinimum Requirements:Two (2) years of experience Education/Licenses/Certifications:Bachelor''s degree in Nursing, or obtained within three years from the initial date of hire.Advanced Degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferred.Graduate of an accredited school of nursingRN licensure issued by Washington State to practice professional nursingCPR and ACLS required at time of hireValid driver''s licenseAdditional Information:Work 2 days a week and get paid for 3The much desired Baylor position is back, to help support work life balance, RN will work a schedule of .6 employee, and received benefits for a .9
