The PCT is a direct patient caregiver who assists patients with activities of daily living and provides nursing care to patients including phlebotomy and EKG''s.The starting base salary is $19.25 plus differentials according to shift.A day in the life of a Patient Care Technician at Community Medical Center includes:Providing patient care, based on physical, education, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients in assigned serviceProviding for effective and safe patient outcomes through practice, judgment and critical actionsOngoing communication with patients and nursing colleagues regarding status of patient s care Participating in collaboration of our patient''s plan of care from admission to discharge to ensure safe transitioning Position Requirements: Previous nursing assistant experience or clinical experience from an accredited nursing program preferred. Certified nursing assistant preferred. High School Diploma or GED equivalent required within one (1) year of hire. Candidates who do not possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent will be provided the opportunity to enroll in a GED/HSEA program at time of hire as a condition of employment. A hired candidate will be provided one (1) year from date of hire to successfully complete a GED program and obtain their HSEA.
