Description: Position SummaryGothenburg Health is seeking a full-time Acute Care Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse-Certified. This role provides direct patient care, meeting both psychological and physical needs of the patients in accordance with physicians'' orders, nursing and department guidelines. The LPN/LPN-C contributes to the continuity and quality of care, which fosters the best interest, and well-being of all patients and their families.Key Accountabilities• Conducts and documents a thorough assessment of each patient''s medical status upon admission and throughout the patient''s course of treatment.• Assumes, when assigned, the duties of medication nurse or floor nurse.• Assists the RN with emergency and outpatient care, which may include accompanying a patient on a transfer to another facility.• Assists in the development and implementation of an individualized treatment plan for each assigned patient.• Assists the RN with emergency and outpatient care, which may include accompanying a patient on a transfer to another facility.• Provides regular patient status updates to appropriate personnel.• Completes required documentation in an accurate and timely manner.• Assists with orientation of new employees.• Adheres to facility policies and procedures and participates in facility quality improvement and safety programs.• Travel to attend continuing education, workshops, and seminars outside the institution.Minimum Qualifications• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current LPN licensure for the state.• Current BLS certification.About Gothenburg HealthGothenburg Health is a critical access hospital and clinics located in Gothenburg, Nebraska.
