Basic Job Function:Protect guests, members, employees and Sea Island Company property against fire, theft, vandalism, illegal entry and other circumstances that would disturb the peace and good order on the property. Uphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures.Minimum Requirements:Minimum one (1) year experience in Security strongly preferredExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalValid Driver''s License with acceptable driving record preferred to pass a yearly Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) reviewCompany policy requires that one must be 21 years of age or older to drive a company vehicleCurrent CPR/AED certification preferredProficient in Windows XP and Microsoft Office software applications such as: Word, Excel, and OutlookMust have ability to compliance with company Dress Code PolicyTasks/Responsibilities:Monitor entry and exits at the gate assuring only members, guests, or authorized personnel are allowed accessGraciously welcome guests and members to Sea Island or proper location as they arriveLearn the names and personally recognize our regular Guests and MembersRoutinely patrol buildings and groundsPick up all lost and found and deliver to the Control Center CoordinatorPick up cash bags at golf courses and deliver to Revenue ControlAssist with transportation of alcohol from various outletsMaintain a thorough knowledge of current guest services, activities, dining options, shops, local attractions, and historical information regarding Sea Island and the surrounding areaWarn violators of rule infractions such as loitering, trespassing, removing property without authorization and direct persons off the property as warrantedExamine doors, windows and gates to determine that they are secureInspect equipment and machinery to ascertain if tampering has occurredWatch for and report irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes and security doors left unlockedSound alarm and call police or fire department by telephone in case of fire or presence of unauthorized personsRecord data such as property damage, unusual occurrences and malfunctioning of machinery or equipment to supervisorMonitor parking, making sure that employees park in designated areasObserve departing staff to guard against theft of company propertyInvestigate reported thefts and/or losses from guests, members and employeesAssist guests when problems occur with safes, locks, and preparing loss/theft reportsReport to the scene of any accident or injury to guests, determine extent of injury with guests, decide if emergency squad is required, notify operator to call appropriate facility, and prepare reports for insuranceMaintain liaison with local law enforcement agencies and provide support to local police when they are called to Sea IslandCheck residences of company executives when necessaryStay informed on project locations, access routes, etc.Relay necessary information to delivery drivers, workmen and other authorized personnelWork with all resort departments to maintain maximum rapport and open communication channels Maintain a thorough knowledge of current guest services, activities, dining options, shops, local attractions, and historical information regarding Sea Island and the surrounding area to answer any questions guests may have to the best of one''s abilityIf applicable, complete a Guest Problem Resolutions (GPR) form on any issues (solved or unsolved issues) and follow-up on issues as needed (if computer access is not available give information to admin support)Maintains cleanliness and organization in all work areasUphold appropriate departmental standards of quality/timingUphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and proceduresReport all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures to supervisor immediatelyAttends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvementWilling and timely execution of other duties as delegated by leadershipPhysical Requirements:Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, crawl, climb, stand, sit, balance, reach, bend, push, pull, walk and run for prolonged periodsMust have the ability to work for extended time periods in an outdoor environment, including sun, heat, cold, wind, rain, and higher than normal noise levelsAbility to perform repetitive tasks with accuracyAbility to read, write and communicate effectively in English, both written and verbalMay be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical and fume
