ShelterCare''s Administration Program of Eugene, OR is seeking to hire a part-time Housekeeper to manage the housekeeping duties at assigned ShelterCare properties. Our Administration program provides the background work in such areas as Accounting and office administration to best support our direct care programs and, through them, our consumers.ShelterCare is considered a healthcare organization. Following state rule 333-019-1010, covered healthcare providers and healthcare staff must provide their employer: Proof of vaccination showing they are fully vaccinated; or documentation of a medical or religious PENSATION AND BENEFITSThe Housekeeper earns a competitive wage of $13.25 - $15.64/hr depending On experience. This is a non-exempt, hourly position. If you have experience in social work and want to pursue a rewarding career as a Case Manager for families at risk of homelessness, apply today!*PTO accrual is prorated for employees working less than 40 hours a week.A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HOUSEKEEPERAs a Housekeeper, you will be part of the Property Management Department and help to ensure that all property activities, policies, and procedures meet the mission, vision, and values of the agency. You will carry out identified housekeeping activities that meet the defined goals and outcomes for assigned ShelterCare properties. Those goals and outcomes are established by the Property Manager and meet grant/contract/ license requirements. You will also meet with the Property Manager to regularly review current policies and procedures in order to maintain health and safety guidelines.You will also coordinate with maintenance and program management as needed. You will clean and tidy common areas of assigned properties: Dust and polish various surfaces and furniture; vacuum, sweep, and mop floors; empty trash bins; etc. You will also clean and tidy assigned rooms between occupancy of assigned properties: Dust and polish various surfaces and furniture; vacuum, sweep, and mop floors; empty trash bins; change linens and towels, and replace toiletries as appropriate; clean appliances available in the unit; etc. You will also effectively track hours spent at different locations and report on completed duties as needed.As a Housekeeper, you''ll love being able to make a difference in the lives of those you serve!QUALIFICATIONSRequiredEffective communication, scheduling, and time managementExcellent working knowledge of cleaning appliances and their operations and proper use of cleaning agentsAttention to detail Ability to maintain confidentialityPhysical Requirements: This position will require the ability to lift, push, pull and carry a minimum weight of approximately 25 lbs., ability to stand for long periods of time, ability to kneel, bend, crawl, squat and crouch, the ability to work in confined spaces, and the ability to tolerate exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals.Ability to successfully pass a DHS background checkPreferredExperience working with individuals diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illnessWORK SCHEDULEThe schedule for this part-time position is day shift, Monday - Friday, 20 hours a week.ARE YOU READY TO JOIN OUR TEAM?If you have experience in housekeeping and would like to make a difference as a Housekeeper, please fill out our short, mobile-friendly application.
