Description: Job Title: Assoc Mgr, Electrical Engineer Job Code: IMS20221208-88645 Job Location: Greenville Job Description: Design and develop electrical systems for the integration of electronic equipment on military/commercial aircraft and ground stations. The design includes creating system wiring diagrams using the Capital Harness System & NX tools as well as circuit breaker panels, control panels and other items using Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools. Engineer will be responsible for research, systems integration, preparation of engineering drawings, critical design reviews and coordination of design activities with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production to ensure that designs meet requirements at minimum cost. Designs can include development of power distribution, electrical loads analysis, and load shedding scheme along with the opportunity to support testing and integration of systems on the aircraft. Electrical design engineers have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of tasks and aircraft systems on various aircraft platforms. Will require working closely with program management & project engineer to prepare new proposals for new and ongoing business. Job Requirements: Responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees Conducting mid & annual reviews Career planning with employees Oversee the design and develop electrical systems for the integration of electronic equipment on military/commercial aircraft and ground stations. Ensure proposals are vetted for accuracy in cost, scope, and schedule Ensure programs are accomplished on schedule and within budget while complying with process/procedures and program requirementsProvides input into new products, processes, standards and/or operational plans that will have measurable impact on the achievement of overall function or business resultsEnsure program airworthiness, customer, and company requirements are understood and metCapable of influencing a wide range of audience, and having demonstrated leadership skills to win support without direct reporting structureQualifications: Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering with six (6) years aircraft design related experience or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering with four (4) years aircraft design related experience Outstanding communication (both verbally and written), negotiation, collaboration, time management, presentation, and organizational skills Familiarity with FAA (Part 23 and 25) and military aircraft airworthiness design approach, certification process, and requirements Knowledge of manpower planning, milestone scheduling, and related financial management Formulate strategic vision, define implementation plan of action to achieve success Capable of managing and working in an environment that is fast paced, demanding, with a focus on problem resolution and process improvement Experience running total lifecycle of programs including proposals, bids, planning, assessing/managing risk, and execution Understanding of aircraft systems, power systems, data systems and various mission systems Capable of obtaining a TS SCI security clearance Proficiency in Microsoft Office products to include, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project Preferred Skills (beyond required): Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering with eight (8) years aircraft design related experience or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering with six (6) years aircraft design related experience Previous experience as a manager or supervisor of an engineering team Influential leader with good emotional intelligence and ability to coach, develop and lead.
