TYLin is seeking a Senior Project Manager to serve as a technical and management resource for the Southern California offices, including transportation project management, design team leadership, quality control reviews, proposals and interviews for potential projects, on-call task order management, etc. The hired candidate will be a leader in highway projects for various agencies throughout Southern California.Responsibilities Win, lead, and manage major transportation projects, including planning, preliminary engineering and environmental, and/or final design highway/transportation projects. Lead projects to successful completion in terms of client satisfaction, technical accuracy, profitability, etc. Serve as a technical resource for Southern California offices, for example mentoring junior engineers and performing quality control reviews of deliverables. Participate as a key contributor in the strategic planning and development of a business plan for the companys surface transportation work in the West Region. Support marketing efforts throughout Southern CA, including client contacts, identification of potential pursuits, development of winning strategies, proposal preparation, interviews, contract negotiations, etc. Provide direction for TYLins highway and transportation planning and design teams. Manage staff and activities on projects of significant size and complexity. Mentor staff on technical matters, project management, and marketing. Develop, establish, and oversee aspects cost control, planning/scheduling effort on multiple projects. Develop and establish project priorities and schedules, and monitor projects for compliance with the approved schedules. Interface with Caltrans, local agencies, federal agencies, and other public agencies involved in highway/transportation projects. Oversee conceptual, preliminary engineering, design, or design review activities for grade separation projects. (Activity to be supported by other technical staff). Develop production work plans, contract documents, schedules and budgets. Perform other project management tasks as needed.Qualifications Requires BSCE degree and California P.E. license. Requires a minimum of 15 years engineering experience in highway and transportation projects including project engineering and, project management. Working knowledge of the Caltrans project development process is required. Grade separation project experience is desirable. Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.
