DescriptionNURSES NEEDED!Community Support Services, Inc. (CSS) is currently seeking caring, skilled, motivated and independent registered nurses with excellent communication skills to provide delegating nursing support to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities including autism in a community based setting. Registered Nurses have a flexible schedule with the opportunity to provide ongoing delegating nursing services to vulnerable individuals who live in their personal homes. Covid-19 safety measures are followed at all times including the use of PPE, and ongoing cleaning at each location. In return, we offer a competitive salary with a full benefits package.Position overview:The Delegating Nurse that will provide community nursing services to individuals with autism and other severe developmental disabilities using a Delegating Nurse Model.Job duties:Train, authorize and supervise delegated nursing tasks such as medication administration and other health care functions performed by certified medication technicians and other unlicensed staffDetermine and assess when nursing functions may be delegated and perform a review of those functions at least every 45 days to assess the individual''s health and wellnessDevelop a plan of care that addresses all current diagnosis and evaluate/revise as neededProvide consultation and medical triage as needed to address individual''s health and safety, including medical needs and concernsOversee and monitor medication orders and administration for all individuals Review monthly medication administration records to ensure compliance with DDA administration protocolsUphold policies and procedures to manage nursing functions for the agencyProvide other health-related training to individuals and groups of employeesParticipate on interdisciplinary team meetings upon requestParticipate in agency licensing reviews and quality assurance processesWork as a team with other agency departments and community providers to ensure health care services are obtained as neededProvide timely and accurate documentation of all nursing services Travel to residential sites in upper Montgomery CountyAdhere to CSS policies and procedures; applicable regulations of federal, state, local laws, and accreditation standards. To practice nursing in accordance to the State of Maryland Nurse Practice Act, Code of Maryland Regulations Title 10, Subtitle 27, and The Standards of Developmental Disabilities Nursing Practice COVID-19 considerations: To keep all employees and the individuals supported safe, PPE and training on the use of PPE is provided following CDC guidelines. Additional cleaning completed throughout the day to protect all against COVID-19.COVID-19 Vaccination required, including booster shot if eligible.RequirementsQualifications:Valid State of Maryland RN LicenseBachelors Degree in Nursing preferredTwo or more years of experience with developmental disabilities in community residential placements preferred.
