Job purposePerform set-up on manufacturing equipment including taper rolls, coilers and wheelabrators to run designs for hot wound springs. This position will also monitor slot and bar furnaces and other equipment associated with the zone they are monitoring. Set-up, rest and clear jams on robots, set robot parameters and verify parameters throughout the shift through periodic quality checks. This position will also train on other jobs in the facility to relieve for lunches and breaks.Duties and responsibilitiesUse manufacturing equipment and monitor/set parameters for quality controlUse air tools, hand tools, gauges, calipers and other equipment to track quality of robotTrain on other positions throughout the facilityQualificationsMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalentSuccessful completion of a skills assessment test is requiredSkill using measurement tools, hand tool and air toolsAbility to read and understand SOP''s, MSDS sheets and work instructionsStrong commitment to safetyPreferred QualificationsExperience with tools, calibration and measurements and quality controlExperience working with robotics is highly desirablePhysical requirementsMust have full range of body motion. Certain operations require repetitive bending, squatting and full arm extension. Manual lifting, not exceeding fifty (50) pounds may be required.
