Job DescriptionNurse Practitioner (NP) is under supervision of a physician. This position serve as a primary care provider by providing medical services to patients, collect and document data, order and interpret laboratory and radiological imaging studies, professional consultations and provide direct patient care servicesResponsibilities:Assesses the health status, illness conditions, response to illness and health risks of patientsPerforms diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to diagnose medical and surgical problemsPrescribes necessary treatment and services for quality patient careTakes patient histories, conducts physical exams and focuses on health promotion and disease preventionMaintains timely documentation of the patient history and physical examinationLeads and assists staff in awareness and understand of Quality Measures and works collaboratively to continually improve patients outcomesCollaborates with the physician in the assigned practice setting, nursing, support staff, and other members of the health teamMaintains recognized Nurse Practitioner Standards of Practice and follows approved scope of practiceDisplays strong clinical skills as well as excellent interpersonal relationship shills in interpreting and communicating health care information to the patient and familyAssists in covering other DRH clinics when other providers are on leaveMaintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications'' establishing personal networks'' participating in professional societiesApply DRH Standards of Behavior and exhibit behaviors consistent with DRH core values.Performs other related duties as assigned.Shift: 1Hours: Monday-Friday, 8a to 5p, 80 hrs ppType: Full TimeCategory: ClinicalRequirementsMinimum Qualifications:3 years registered nurse clinical experience in an acute care setting preferred1 year experience as a CNS or NP preferredEducation and/or Experience: Master''s degree in Advanced Practice Nursing from a program licensed by the Oklahoma Board of NursingCertifications, Licenses, Registrations: Active License in Oklahoma or ability to acquire oneCurrent Healthcare provider BLS certification required* Safety-Sensitive Position**This position requires respirator and fit testing. Required testing will be performed on all team members at risk for exposure to airborne infectious diseases, droplet producing procedures, or any caustic chemicals.***As a condition of employment, vaccinations are required per DRH Policy. Medical and Religious Exemptions are available upon request.
