Must be willing to easily pick up new concepts and ways of doing typical IT tasks and able to work in a dynamic and rapidly expanding environment. Job also involves pre-scheduled weekly on-call rotations which include weekends. Requirements: - 5+ years of experience in design and deep-dive troubleshooting with Voice and Video IP networks, PCAP analyzation, Call Signaling/Media flow, ACLs, TCP/UDP, Ports/Protocols, and Network Topology. - 5+ years of experience working with Cloud based Video Conferencing solutions (Bluejeans/Zoom/WebEx) - 4+ years of Cisco/Polycom VC Infrastructure experience. - 4+ years of Video Codec experience (Cisco, Polycom, Lifesize, etc.). - 2+ years of project management experience. - 2+ years of experience with AV control systems. - CCNA level network understanding required and CCNP level network understanding preferred. - Strong understanding of H.323 and SIP protocols. - Experience with V-NOC design and operations, WebRTC, Streaming Solutions, and/or CUCM is a plus. - Degree in a technical discipline or computer science preferred, but not required. Additional Key Priorities: - SQL Connectivity - Authentication - Security - Utilities - Diagnostics Tools - Troubleshooting - Upgrades - Pulls (Monitoring active devices and capturing serial numbers) - Lifecycle Management - Project Management Operations Engineering Support - 80% Project Management Support - 20% Responsibilities: - Support daily operations of global Voice/Video Infra environment by applying network experience to a rapidly expanding voice, video, and control network. - Work with a team of Operational Engineers to improve and document operational efficiency of the Voice/Video Infra infrastructure and associated systems. - Provide expert insight on IP network optimization and drive for scalable efficiencies across the environment. - Work closely with the Network Engineering Team to improve overall network design, as it pertains to Voice/Video Infra implementations globally. - Serve as a point of escalation for codec, infrastructure, and Voice/Video Infra related network incidents. - Actively troubleshoot Voice/Video Infra infrastructure and codec issues, and work with associated vendors to drive towards resolution. - Provide On-Call support as an escalation point for VC infrastructure and network troubleshooting. - Drive projects to completion with minimal oversight. - Make strong, data driven decisions, in order to have a positive impact on the Facebook internal coloration stack - Development of technical standards and documentation for all Voice/Video Infra technology implemented company wide. - Analyze and evaluate new technologies and solutions to improve the Audio Visual environment.
