WEG Transformers USADescription: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Able to read, understand and interpret BOM, drawings, schematics, work instructions and specifications to complete assignments without supervision. 2. Select and prepare materials, tools and equipment necessary to complete tasks. 3. Properly lace wound coil units including all required insulation, framing and banding, etc. 4. Obtain and/or prepare all necessary parts, materials and assemble appropriate parts. 5. Prepare core for sliding and perform sliding of coils. 6. Add shunts and all necessary components if required. 7. Top yoke and frame active part. 8. Complete all low voltage assembly connections as required. 9. Prepare tank with all required components. 10. Complete all high voltage assembly connections as required. 11. Verify tank is clean and debris-free before tanking, 12. Move empty tanks from tank prep to Center Bay for tanking. 13. Install active parts in tank as required. 14. Verification of the correct installation of insulation and lead runs for running cable leads, ensuring all clearances are maintained and all crimped and bolted connections are installed. 15. Installation and verification of the correct auxiliary devices. 16. Verify all bolted connections are torque marked. 17. Prepare and quality inspect the complete unit. 18. Move unit to and from oven/LFH. 19. Maintain and record oil levels on High Risk Inventory document. 20. Assist with Tank Farm duties. 21. Operate Vac Chamber. 22. Operate Cranes and hoist as needed. 23. Perform repairs, either inside or outside tank. 24. Train, assist, mentor trainees in assembly. 25. Maintain quality and production records. 26. Any related tasks as deemed necessary by supervision. Requirements: SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: Work in a safe manner, which includes proper use of personal protective equipment. Required personal protective equipment includes steel-toed shoes/boots, safety glasses, tinted glasses, gloves, and fall protection. Should job responsibilities temporarily change or vary, additional personal protective equipment may be required. TYPICAL PARTS: Core, coils, tank, cover, wooden blocking, psp spacers, psp cylinders, cooling ducts, shrink wrap plastic, core clamps, top yoke plates, cables for leads, copper bus bar, LTC, preventive auto transformer, series booster transformer, crimp connectors, bushings, CT'', conservator, valves, gaskets, etc. MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND WORK AIDS: Various hand tools for component installation, overhead-hoist, pallet jacks, fork-trucks, air-powered Huck guns, crimping guns (powered and non-powered), ratchets, wire cutters and crimpers, pedestal and hand grinder, wooden shop equipment, drill press, sanders, scales, fixed gauges, pi tape, tape measure, Vapor Phase drying oven, hydraulic press equipment, etc. PHYSICAL/VISUAL ACTIVITIES OR DEMANDS: 1. Walking, standing, climbing, bending, talking, hearing. 2. Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less with the ability to bring subjects into sharp focus. 3.
