This role is in the ICG Operational Risk Management (ORM) coverage team that provides oversight and risk management coverage for the Institutional Client Group (ICG) Segment. The role will focus on implementing Citi''s Operational Risk Management (ORM) framework (e.g. Risk Governance, Risk Appetite, Risk Identification, Scenario Analysis, etc.) across ICG, as well as drive key initiatives (internal and regulatory driven projects), and provide oversight of the broader group''s challenge to the first line. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of ORM and/or Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) concepts. The team member should have strong commercial awareness in order to understand the business impact from implementing ORM and ERM programs, and have the experience to identify opportunities to streamline existing programs, while ensuring adherence to internal and external expectations. Responsibilities: Risk Governance Independently challenging the management of operational risk including existing and proposed practices and working as independent risk managers to drive improved control processes Facilitate escalation and communication of Operational Risk events across the ICG ORM coverage team Establish and oversee the design, implementation and maintenance of the operational risk management framework including: policies, standards, technology and tools, monitoring and governance Occasionally serve as a delegate for the head of ICG ORM in senior level management meetings/discussions Provide guidance to the first-line in ICG and ICG ORM in terms of various ORM framework requirements Risk Appetite and Risk Identification Coordinate challenge across dedicated SMEs of ICG''s most significant Operational Risks on a quarterly basis Coordinate challenge across dedicated SMEs of ICG Risk Appetite Assessment on a quarterly basis Monitor risks on a continuous basis with a focus on dedicated risk indicators. Responsibilities include: understanding trends, assessing threshold appropriateness, investigating breaches and understanding remediation plans, and ensuring results are appropriately incorporated in Risk Appetite and Risk Identification activities. Reporting and Data Analysis Provide senior management with an independent view of the firm''s operational risk profile Develop ad-hoc reports for internal and external meetings Analyze large data sets (losses, control self-assessment results, indicators, corrective action plans, etc.) to develop insights into ICG''s operational risk profile and support challenge activities Group Support Driving key initiatives as needed, which may be tied to internal transformation efforts or work required under regulatory programs Provide oversight of the team''s challenge responsibilities across the ORM Framework with the goal of keeping deliverables on track Qualifications: 10+ years relevant experience Significant experience in Operational Risk or Enterprise Risk Management desired and other risk and control disciplines would be a plus. Good understanding of Investment Banking products and services Advanced competency in MS Excel and PowerPoint required Knowledge of visualization tools such as Tableau a plus Data analysis and problem-solving skills Strong communication (verbal and written), facilitation and consensus-building skills. Ability to effectively communicate with senior ICG leadership.
