Solidworks Engineer - Furniture/Toy/Prop Designer

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Engineering Team with experience in parametric design software used to create Furniture, Cabinetry, Toys, or Packaging. This person would possess the ability to work organically as part of our Engineering Department. We are looking for a creative individual that can think outside the box, visualize things well, and can use their computer talents to create concepts and renderings for our clients in various forms as they design custom props for laser tag arenas, golf courses, e-sports, and escape rooms.Duties & Responsibilities:Use Solidworks to create 3D renderings of props, assemblies, and products.Create assembly documentation for individual props and pieces we create to help the production team fabricate from drawingsPrepare product detail packets of information and drawings for our internal production teamAssist the Design Department in the overall creative scope of projectsCreate vector files and CNC cut files of the designed propsOccasionally, work with client architects, building inspectors, fire marshals, clients and more to review designs, make adjustments, and ensure the overall plans meet the needs of all partiesAdditional considerations and software knowledge desired for this position:Solidworks engineering and design experience requiredExperience with a cam software to convert complex assemblies and part files into g code to run on our CNC machinesExperience and Training in DFMA(Design for Manufacturing) and NPI (New Product Implementation)Knowledge of construction methods, materials, techniques and production systems3D sculpting software knowledge a plus (ie: Art Cam, Carve Co, Mudbox, Zbrush, or Maya)Qualification Requirements:Minimum of three (3) years experience in a similar setting or 4-year degree in product development or engineeringMust be able to provide a portfolio of work that shows designs that have been completedPay and Benefits:Full-Time, Exempt8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - FridayMedical, dental, vision, life, ancillary, & pet insurance coverage opportunities availableFinancial wellness program available401K opportunities available (Standard Safe Harbor Match)Employee Discount ProgramGenerous PTO Plan as well as parental time and several paid holidaysPaid Volunteer Time Off to serve at a 501(c)3 charitable organization on behalf of the companySalary: $40,000 - $60,000 per year based on experienceEqual Opportunity EmployerCreative Works is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
