WHAT YOU''LL DO This position is a leadership position on the Southwest System Finance team responsible for supporting the Southwest office. The Southwest System is the second largest system globally for BCG and this role provides support to local leadership, local Managing Directors and Partners and other members of senior consulting staff. The structure of the growing Southwest finance team is undergoing a transformation in conjunction with broader changes across North America - in data, reporting, organizational structure, and service delivery.The Southwest Finance Lead will play an important role in supporting this change across the Southwest and beyond while also maintaining the key relationships and core foundation of service to our Managing Directors and Partners and Local Leadership to drive revenue growth. YOU''RE GOOD AT Decision support* Collaborate with a wide variety of business partners across BCG, including Southwest finance system, local offices, regional / global finance, practice areas, and others * Support Finance Manager with Southwest Planning cycle* Assist with analyzing Southwest P&L through cost reporting vs. budgets and supporting Southwest function budget owners* Provide insight and analysis to support Southwest leadership in running the business* Create and drive the adoption of improved financial processes and policies through teaming with multiple stakeholder groupsTeam Development* Support, train, and help develop Southwest Finance team as necessary* Drive optimal resource deployment, driving best practices, developing opportunities for capability growth, own team roles and responsibilities* Support the training of other local function teamsOther Responsibilities* Prepares content for Southwest Leadership meetings; leading preparation of materials/content on key topics and present to local and Southwest Managing Directors and Partner group as required* Present business metrics, monthly results, billability, staff time utilization and allocations, case team budgets/run rates and others to senior leadership* Work across the Southwest offices in planning process, building relationships with the North America Estimates team* Support pyramid analysis and communication between various Southwest groups (Talent Acquisition, Management Team, Business Management Directors, Career Development Committee)* Collaborate with Commercial team to project revenue forecasts using pipeline tools* Help troubleshoot finance related issues / answer questions YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS) * Bachelor''s in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics; MBA a plus* 7+ years of relevant work experience ideal* Experience in professional services environment a plusKey Competencies* Collaborative team-player with strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to cooperate with people at all levels and build positive, lasting relationships across functions* Creates positive and productive team environment and values contribution of others* Excellent verbal and written communication skills* Strong problem solving, analytical skills, and judgment* Comfort with ambiguity and ability to effectively multi-task, make tradeoffs, take initiative, and prioritize within a fast-paced, demanding environment* Proactive, self-starter with a high level of initiative and resourcefulness* Conscientiousness, attention to detail, and attentiveness to accuracy* Ability to perform effectively under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude* Commitment to improving and learning new topics and skills; receptive to feedback* Ability to structure, plan, manage, and prioritize projects effectively* Responsiveness, initiative, and orientation toward service and business needs* Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint (ability to train staff on intermediate level)* Relevant experience using Alteryx Designer is a plus* Relevant experience using Tableau Desktop is a plus YOU''LL WORK WITH Members of our finance team are responsible for preserving the intellectual capital, assets, and integrity of BCG.
