As a not-for-profit organization, Lutheran Social Ministries of Maryland operates two continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs) and provides senior services in the wider community.We are currently seeking an RN Minimum Data Set Coordinator for our Westminster, MD community. The Carroll Lutheran Village RN MDS Coordinator is a central part of our health care network team, who conduct and coordinate the development and completion of the resident assessment in accordance with the requirements of this State and the policies and goals of Carroll Lutheran Village. Ensure the accuracy of medical records and coding procedures is essential for a facility to receive proper reimbursement. Act on behalf of CLV''s residents'' rights to advocate and ensure that each resident is aware of his or her legal rights.Qualifications:Must be certified as a Resident Assessment Coordinator (RAC-CT)Some experience in an MDS coordinator role or related experience preferredCurrent and valid state Registered Nursing license a MUSTExperience in an HCC clinical environment preferredDeep medical terminology knowledgeExceptional mathematical skills and ability to apply them to tasks such as analysis of variance and sampling theoryExcellent leadership skillsDemonstrable knowledge of state and federal regulationsSuperb decision-making skillsProficiency in MDS software preferredMust possess a strong desire to deliver care in an empathetic, compassionate wayExperience assessing, trouble shooting and making sound recommendations in stressful situationsExcellent communication skills to listen and communicate with residents and teammatesProficiency in MS Word and OutlookTime management skillsDependability and reliabilityE.O.E.
