As a Director Software Engineering, you will be responsible for overall delivery for customer implementations on Optum Behavioral Health platform. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work and communicate well with others are critical aspects of this position. Primary Responsibilities: Lead teams focused on data integration between Facets, internal and external partners Define and build integration solutions Collaborate with key enterprise teams Participate in Global and Detail Design sessions Provide data sharing thought leadership to organization Ensure security, scalability, operational excellence and data sharing platform stability Collaborate with integration partners to define and evolve data sharing options Create written and oral communication materials that effectively summarize findings, support fact-based recommendations and provides appropriate detail to substantiate conclusions Provide support and participation in development of business requirements (through the lens of Facets data integration) to ensure business needs are captured and delivered Direct quality assurance, scalability and performance testing efforts Conduct research studies that may include collecting, analyzing, trending and presenting data and recommendations to management Providing guidance on technical implementations across several delivery teams Devising and establishing IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management Understanding the business requirements of all departments to support technology needs technical solution analysis and recommendations Managing and mentoring a team of managers and individual contributors Overall point of contact for customer needs, escalations/issue management and executive IT leadership reporting. Collaborates with stakeholders and Executive leaders who can provide insights into business strategies, trends, and opportunities Drives innovation in collaboration with business, operational and technology leaders by identifying opportunities to use emerging technologies Negotiates win-win solutions across teams and lines of business (cross application / cross portfolio) Drives forecasting and planning activities You''ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: Undergraduate degree or 2 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree 12+ years of overall IT experience 4+ years of combined experience as a Project Lead/Technical Lead / Solution Architect / System Analyst background 4+ years of relevant development background with the ability to take on a Technical Lead role on the Facets product Experience on Agile Methodologies and scrum team Experience in 2 or more FACETS applications - Finance/billing/Provider/Member Applications Understanding about the structure and significance of key /HIPAA X12 EDI transactions like 837, 277CA, 835, Batch process Understanding of Claims domain in Facets which includes but not limited to Data Model, Core Claims processing batch jobs, Facets UI, Facets Workflow tool Skilled with MS Office Suite, Visio, MS Project, Teams and SharePoint Preferred Qualifications: Good understanding around Claims pricing, errors, edits, adjustments & payments, rules engine(DROOLs),CICD Good understanding of Medicaid/Medicare products Good understanding of Health plan set up and claims administrations Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $113,500 to $218,100.
