Weinbrenner Shoe Company is looking for a well qualified Maintenance Department Manager to join our growing team. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the Maintenance and Parts departments at the Merrill and Marshfield locations, including personnel, systems, processes, procedures, as well as other administrative functions, and working closely with the Operations leadership groups.QualificationsCandidates must have at least 5 years proven experience as a maintenance manager or other managerial/lead role. Experience in planning maintenance operations and an outstanding ability to organize, lead, and communicate is required. A valid Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) is a plus. Must have a valid drivers license and a good driving record. Education and/or ExperienceRequires education generally equivalent to a bachelor''s degree in business or engineering and/or 10 years manufacturing experience. Supervisor experience is required. Must also have a working knowledge of business systems.Job Expectations include: Develop, establish, and implement long-range and short-term strategies and operating procedures to achieve established maintenance department goals and objectives.Hire and develop a highly skilled maintenance team to support company operations and expansion initiatives.Plan, organize, and schedule the work of department personnel.Review maintenance projects and make recommendations to improve design, reduce cost, or increase production efficiency.Manage maintenance project timelines and costs.Test and/or source and cost-justify various tools, machinery, and equipment for improvements.Develop a network of vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for the procurement of machinery, equipment, and services.Manage a process to track, complete and provide the organization with status updates on maintenance task requests.Apply Lean principles in own work performance and drive Lean applications in company operations.Develop written standard operating procedures and work instructions for key processes.Champions Continuous Improvement in Maintenance organization using LEAN & Six Sigma Methodologies.Responsibility for maintenance, building, and grounds cost center budgets and spend.Assists/leads in capital expenditure requests and executes small capital projects.Working with the Operations leadership group to understand the long-range capital plans and ensuring the PM programs are established for all new equipment.Represent maintenance on cross-functional project teams.
