It''s an opportunity to do your life''s best work.(sm) The Optum Advisory Services, Accountable Care Transformation (ACT) team exists to support health care provider and payer organizations in their quest to achieve top performance clinically, operationally, and financially. Organizations face the challenges of addressing the complex medical and societal needs of patients, integrating care delivery across multiple settings, transitioning from fee-for-service to value based reimbursement, and maintaining sustainable financial margins. The ACT team is uniquely positioned to support health care providers navigate Value-based Care and Population Health Management, by evaluating existing strengths and challenges, designing solutions to advance performance, building solutions in alignment within their operating environment, and managing the solutions alongside our clients to ensure results are achieved. The Consultant Manager will be a part of a team responsible for solving the most complex and strategic issues facing provider and payer enterprises around the country. Our clients seek assistance researching, analyzing, and interpreting data related to their physician practices, value-based programs and health system operations, and positioning them for operational improvement and revenue growth. This position will take responsibility for project workstreams, will manage and interface with team members and leaders, and often interfaces with senior leadership (C-suite) for clients. The successful candidate will have expertise in consulting delivery, provider enterprise operations and/or value-based care programs such as Accountable Care Organizations (ACO) or Clinically Integrated Networks (CIN), and have excellent project management, change management, and communication skill sets. You''ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities: Accountable for budget and timelines of project deliverables across assigned workstreams Provide status updates and review of deliverables to client senior leadership team and/or project sponsors Support a team-oriented work climate that enables professional development and encourages creative solutions and strategies Communicate effectively and accurately in writing and verbally to prospects, clients, and other staff Demonstrate strong relationship management skills and ability to handle challenging interpersonal situations Closely monitors actual vs. expected team utilization Provide support and subject matter expertise within ACT, the broader Transformation Practice, and to other Optum Consulting and Optum Company business units when expertise is required Support the development and execution of program roadmaps and timelines Analyzing, synthesizing, and interpreting data to inform client recommendations Oversee and direct detailed, quantitative analysis; building Microsoft Excel models; and preparing operational and financial projections Manage information-gathering efforts Develop a project''s approach, strategies, and work plans Conducting stakeholder interviews Developing project findings and recommendations Manage preparation of project materials and reports Presenting final deliverables to client sponsors Identifying follow-on opportunities and helping to scope and close follow-on engagements You''ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: Bachelor''s degree 3+ years of experience in healthcare consulting (ie physician enterprise operations consulting, healthcare financial modeling, value-based care programs etc.) Ability to travel up to 60% (Often times lower depending on project) Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $97,300 to $176,900.
