We have long been associated with many of the most significant advances in eye health, and we believe we are well positioned to continue leading the advancement of eye health in the future.Position summary:The Sr. Director of R&D Portfolio Management works collaboratively with the VP of R&D Portfolio and Project Management and R&D Leadership to develop, implement, and optimize portfolio processes at Bausch and Lomb. The incumbent will be responsible for building a database/system that will allow all R&D projects to be valued consistently, and provide reporting output to senior leadership as needed. She/He will be responsible for working with R&D Project Managers, Commercial Leads and Finance to gather and enter financial information for all projects at all stages of development. She/He will develop a probability of technical and regulatory success (PTRS) process based on organization and industry benchmarking to ensure consistency of how projects are prioritized and providing key input to risk adjusted project values. The Sr. Director of Portfolio Management will engage in strategy discussions and provide additional services to R&D leadership and project teams in the areas of: decision analytics, metrics, and prioritization.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesDevelop, lead and manage portfolio management systems and processes across R&DIdentify and implement improvements to processes, guidelines, reports for portfolio management in collaboration with key stakeholdersWork closely with Project Managers, Commercial Leads and Finance to ensure accurate project financial information is entered and maintained in the portfolio mgt. systemProvide portfolio information to inform decision-makingEstablish, maintain, and improve appropriate tools to support the portfolio management processEstablish portfolio performance metrics and targets that will measure and monitor the value of the portfolio.Responsible for accuracy of the portfolio data and reportingExperience & QualificationsUndergraduate degree required, MBA highly preferredMinimum of 10 years experience with portfolio management and analytics in the pharmaceutical and medical device industryIn-depth understanding of the drug/device development process and differences in project valuation depending on phase, scope, PTRS, etc.Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a fast-paced, matrixed, team environment consisting of internal and external team membersAnalytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlinesExcellent planning, organization and time management skills including the ability to support and prioritize multiple projectsExperience in working with Executive leadersExcellent demonstrated facilitation skillsExcellent verbal, written and executive presentation skillsThis position may be available in the following location(s): [[location_obj]]All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.Job Applicants should be aware of job offer scams perpetrated through the use of the Internet and social media platforms.To learn more please readBausch+Lomb''s Job Offer Fraud Statement (.
