Maintenance Technician Job DetailsLevelEntry Job LocationHiveley Corp - Inkster, MI Position TypeFull Time Education LevelNot Specified Job CategoryFacilities POSITION SUMMARY The Maintenance Technician coordinates the resources needed and to provide proper maintenance and upkeep of properties used by Starfish Family Services. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Trade school (or equivalent experience) and basic knowledge of the trades preferred. Two years of experience in maintenance positions preferred. Professional licensure in maintenance-related area preferred. Practical knowledge of painting, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC systems, electrical and landscaping desired. COMPTENCIES AND ABILITES Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule. Good physical mobility as necessary to perform job duties. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to complete tasks such as reading instructions and warning labels, completing on-demand training using a computer, and communicating via email and other mean DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Performs necessary building repairs as assigned. Ensures completion of necessary building and grounds maintenance assignments. Responds to help desk requests. Maintains the agencys tools and equipment as required. Performs required regular maintenance on properties such as lawn care, snow removal, janitorial duties (as needed) and other tasks related to the appearance of the properties. Assists in the transportation of donations to the agency. Maintains a valid drivers license and vehicular insurance. Maintains a driving record that is insurable by the agencys auto insurance company. Performs room set-up for meetings, training classes and as assigned. Monitors and records completed tasks.
