Data Engineer (remote) with Security Clearance

LinQuest is seeking a Data Engineer to join our team. This position can be worked remotely. US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a clearance is required. Key words: NoSQL, Python, Neo4J, DataBricks LinQuest designs and develops data architectures that provide value to our clients. Our data practitioners are involved in a wide range of activities to ingest, transform, manage, and serve data for applications, reporting, and advanced analytics use cases. Our data experts are leveraged across of range of projects, such as advanced analytics, application development, large-scale enterprise data warehouses, data marts, and data lakes. LinQuest data practitioners collaborate with Operations Research Analysts, Software Development Professionals, Data Scientists, and DOD Subject Matter Experts. As a Data Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with unstructured and structured data, develop databases, build data pipelines, and find innovative solutions to complex data problems. Candidates should be familiar with state-of-the-art data engineering techniques and have hands-on experience with data pipelines, and should be comfortable manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large unstructured and structured datasets. Responsibilities will include: * Designing, loading, and working with NoSQL databases.* Working with unstructured data.* Expected to deliver in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment.* Satisfying data requirements from diverse user base including analysts, data scientists, and application developers.* Adapt quickly to changing needs across several core areas, including data ingest, data design, data transformation, and data quality management techniques.* Articulate trade-offs between design decisions, recommend a course of action to clients, and provide effective updates on project outcome uncertainty to leadership.* Other duties as assignedRequired Skills: * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with hands on experience working with databases.* Must have the ability and motivation to self-teach in order to stay current with leading best practices in the database industry.* Candidates must be able to tackle difficult problems specifically working with unstructured textual data.* Expected to have data wrangling skills.* Excellent communication skillsValuable Technical Skills: * Experience with Unstructured Databases (Neo4J, MongoDB, Cassandra etc.)* Experience with Relational Databases (PostgreSQL etc.)* Experience developing data pipelines to support Analytics* Familiar with ETL Tools (Talend, Informatica etc.)* Familiar with BI Tools (Tableau, Power BI etc.)Required Experience: * Bachelor''s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field* Experience working with NoSQL Database* Experience manipulating data with Python* Experience with Agile* US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearancePreferred Experience: * Prior experience with AWS, Databricks, Neo4J, High Performance Computing (HPC) big plus* Performance tuning for large data sets* Designing and deploying Text analysis data applications* Experience supporting data management activities within a professional environment* Prior experience with Postgres a plus* Designing and implementing ETL processes* Professional experience as a data architect supporting the US Government or the DoD* Prior experience implementing, or working within, a data governance frameworkBenefits: LinQuest offers comprehensive and competitive benefit offerings to our team members to include medical, dental, vision, retirement, paid time off, company paid life insurance, and more!
