Title: Electrical Engineer (Hardware Integration)Location: Foster City, CaliforniaDuration: Long Term Job Description: The operational equipment integration engineer is the electrical lead for our vehicle operational and test equipment team. The operational equipment team owns the hardware that supports both service and test operations on the vehicle including auxiliary network communications, low level manual vehicle controllers, and vehicle safety devices. As the operational equipment integration engineer you will be responsible for electrical design, development and production of various hardware devices that serve to enable test and service teams to be successful. Responsibilities: Define electrical system requirements. Specify electrical components and drive engineering development with suppliers. Collaborate with hardware design teams, firmware and software teams, and system operators to iterate on existing designs and develop future solutions. Support development of system and component level validation test plans. Support root cause failure analysis during development, validation, and deployment. Lead technical conversations with external suppliers. Qualifications: Bachelor''s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent) Electrical systems or electronics troubleshooting experience CAN bus, LIN, and Automotive network experience Experience defining electrical system requirements Experience sourcing and analytically down selecting components from external suppliers. Bonus Qualifications: ISO 26262 Knowledge Automotive wire harness experience (design, repair, or modification) Experience using 3DX, Catia V5 or similar. Experience taking a product from concept to production. Experience with electrical and EMI/C testing.
