Senior Recovery Engineer - Managed Services

Local to Long Island Senior Recovery Engineer needed to go to client site(s). Candidates should have Managed Services experience working directly with end clients.The Senior Recovery Engineer is responsible for technical implementation and testing of recovery strategies across North American client base. Candidates must be highly motivated, detail-oriented, take initiative, be a self-learner and manage multiple initiatives concurrently. RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage/support technical on-boarding, implementation. Testing and ongoing support of authorized applications.Work closely with and support your assigned client, and our support team, along with the client''s current AWS, Windows, Linux, and other technical needs.Gather system requirements and support several project teams in evolving, testing and rolling-out new products and services, then transitioning the site or product to post launch operations activities throughout life of the product or serviceIdentify potential vulnerabilities and suggest resolutionsProvide excellent customer service.Produce ''how to'' guides and other documentation to aid customers and other technical support staffREQUIREMENTS:10+years or equivalent work experience in:Windows servers technologyFirewall Technology (SonicWall especially) VPN buildouts.Windows Active Directory and DNSVMwareUbiquiti - Unifi (Wireless)Networking Skillset (Especially troubleshooting) Like packet captures / diagnosing network issues. Subnetting.Office 365On-Prem ExchangeMicrosoft Teams / SlackLinux servers - especially nmap scanning with scriptsAWSAWS workspacesEmail concepts and technologies - Smart / Spam Security filtering hosts, Postfix, Dovecot, DMARC, SPF and DKIMUnderstands Hardware and cabling.Good analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to learn quicklyGood customer service skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsNetworking, Security, Troubleshooting, and Investigative skills across all technologies is keyEducation Required:VMWare Certification or equivalent work experience is requiredNetwork Certification is a plus. 4-year degree in Computer Science, Engineering, OR equivalent work experienceMS Certified Systems Engineer a plus - provided by Dice
