Senior Software Controls Engineer

We are looking for bright, talented, energetic engineers to join our team.Position Summary:Software Controls Engineer will be responsible for the development and support of PLC based control software used to control motion, safety, and thermal mechanisms in a semiconductor automated device handling system. This position may also include some GUI(HMI), robotics, and machine vision software development.Requirements:BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related degree.Minimum of 5 years work experience programming at the software/hardware interface either with PLCs or embedded systems.Desired Technical Skills and Experience:Proficiency in PC/PLC control system programming (Beckhoff TC3 preferred).Knowledge of IEC61131-3 standard. Extensive programming experience with Structured Text, Ladder Diagram and Function Block Diagram languages.HMI (Human Machine Interface) programming experience using C in Microsoft Visual Studio.Knowledge and programming experience of servo and stepper motion, industrial robots.C or C++ programming experienceExperience with machine vision (Cognex Vision Pro preferred)Knowledge of PID loops and temperature process control concepts.Experience in Safety Logic design for industrial machinery.Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.*Personal Skills:Works well in a team environment.Highly organized, self-motivated, and disciplined.Knowledge of product development practices in a manufacturing environment.Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to effectively communicate, verbally and written, with others.Supervisory Responsibility:Provides work leadership and training to lower level professional employees.Job Conditions:Domestic and international travel may be required.Works in lab environment with constant or intermittent noise. - provided by Dice
