Strategic Insight, Ltd. is seeking an Systems Administrator(Staff Associate) to support our NAVSEA CIO client. The successful candidate will possess a solid background in Microsoft Windows and ESX/ESXi engineering and administration to help us create solutions for Navy systems that will stand up to even the most advanced cyber threats. The job location is at The Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC. There is the potential for some hybrid working schedule between Home, Corporate and Client site. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * As a systems administrator on our project, you''ll assist with the ongoing design, maintenance, troubleshooting and technical sustainment of Navy production networks. * You''ll coordinate work with in house teams to identify the right mix of tools and techniques to translate your customer''s IT needs and future goals into a plan that will enable secure and effective solutions. * We need to come up with the best solution, so you''ll investigate new techniques, break free from the legacy model, and go where the industry is going. You''ll lead the team through a critical approach to network design, providing alternatives and customizing solutions, to maintain a balance of security and Navy mission needs. This is a chance to make a difference in the security of Naval mission operations. Your technical expertise will be vital as you help customers overcome their most difficult challenges by integrating secure practices like endpoint based detection, response Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), multi-factor authentication, and identity access management while also maintaining the availability of Navy networks for a diverse community of users. You''ll be able to broaden your skillset into areas like Windows server administration, group policy management, Domain Name Service (DNS) and cloud based security while building piece of mind in a critical infrastructure. * We focus on growing as a team, so we''ll share techniques, work through challenges, and develop new methodologies together. Join our team, as we support the mission needs of NMC systems and networks while simultaneously building and deploying technical solutions through cyber security. * Empower change with us. Success for working in this position requires: * 3 years of experience with managing group policies and domain architectures, including AD, DNS, DHCP, and WSUS. * 3 years of experience with Windows Server 2012, Windows 10, Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows DNS, Windows Server Update Services, Windows patching and vulnerability remediation, VMWare, ESXi 6.5/6.7, network storage architectures, including Dell Equallogic and Windows. * 1 year of experience installing and setting up software and implementing DoD STIGs. * 1 year of experience with applying security patches to systems, including security vulnerability reporting. * Knowledge of FISMA, DoD, and DoN information security doctrine. * Knowledge of best practices regarding requirements management, design, development, and testing and system and software architecture practices, tools, and methodologies. * Active Secret clearance. * Attention to detail and accuracy in completing assignments. * Ability to effectively communicate and work with others at all levels, as a team member. * Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information. * Self-starter, goal-oriented individual who provides timely feedback on progress made on assignments. * Excellent organizational skills; ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. Education and Experience * BA or BS degree and 3 years of experience in a Windows administrator role or 9 years of experience in a Windows administrator role in lieu of a degree. * DoD 8570 Certifications, including Security+ and IAT Level I/II. Mandatory Requirement: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
