Title: Sr. Cyber Systems Architect Location: Remote. 50% travel to Ridgecrest, CA. 100% travel expenses covered. Clearance: Clearable US citizen Program Description: This position is supporting our great client''s Test Technology Division in Ridgecrest, CA. This teams mission is vital to the protection of our nation. They provide engineering and scientific research for CWMD Counter Weapons of Mass Destruction and Weapons effects and Testing. Job Description Our great client is currently seeking a cybersecurity architect responsible for planning, designing, testing, implementing, and maintaining a series of Platform IT enclaves and network security infrastructure. The role requires thorough knowledge of DoDI 8500.01 and 8510.01. The primary duty location is Ridgecrest, CA. Position Responsibilities: * Contributes to the development and deployment of program information security for assigned systems to meet the program and enterprise requirements, policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures* Implements Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes, product development and product maintenance for assigned systems* The ability to interface with customers/executives and communicate effectively with key stakeholders, and subsequently manage security team members towards meeting project objectives* The experience and technical expertise to build security infrastructure from scratch or update existing systems in response to ongoing changes in the security landscape, including new risks and adherence to applicable regulations* Develop and document the complete understanding of a company''s technology and information systems* Identity and access management; tracking and creating/enforcing policies that govern access sensitive technology resources and information assets* Design, build, implement and support robust security architectures for a series of closed network test structures the rely on remote automation and control* Align organizational security strategy and infrastructure with Navy/DoD compliance, capabilities, and strategies in use* Develop vulnerability testing, risk analyses and security assessments, and Authority to Operate compliance packages* Review and approve installation of firewall, VPN, routers, IDS scanning technologies and servers* Use current programming language and technologies to writes code, complete programming and performs testing and debugging of applications* Provide guidance to an integrated design and build team* Train users in implementation or operation of systems* Respond immediately and communicate vital information to security-related incidents and provide thorough remedial solutions and analysis* This position requires ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security Clearance. ( A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active . An active clearance is preferred.)Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): * Bachelor''s degree or equivalent work or military experience* Currently hold certification in good standing to satisfy IAM Level III (CISSP, GSLC or CISM)* 3+ years of experience with cybersecurity policies and implementation of Risk Management Framework (RMF): e.g. DAAPM, CNSSI 1253, ICD-503, JSIG, and/or NIST SP 800 series* 3+ years of experience as an information system security officer (ISSO) or information system security manager (ISSM) supporting classified programs* 3+ years of experience in assessing and documenting test or analysis data to show cybersecurity compliance* Windows, UNIX and Linux operating systems* VB.NET, Java/J2EE, ColdFusion, API/web services, scripting languages and a relational database management system (RDBMS) such as MS SQL Server or Oracle* Thorough understanding of relevant industry security standards and protocols including ISO27001 and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)* Router, switch and VLAN security; wireless security* Risk assessment procedures, policy formation, role-based authorization methodologies, authentication technologies and security attack pathologies* Typical Education/Experience:* Typically 5 or more years'' related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.* Strong leadership, project and team-building skills, including the ability to lead teams and drive initiatives in multiple departments* Ability to function as an enterprise security subject matter expert who can explain complex topics to those without a technical backgroundRelocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Work Shift: This position is salaried at 40 hours per week and intended to create a production site for HW and SW systems that will be prototype tested before installation on a DoD Government facility. Period of Performance for the currently funded project is through 2024.
