Summit Technical Solutions (STS) is seeking a Lead Computer Maintenance Tech - JWICS to support equipment maintenance from the Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS) point of presence (PoP) to the Government-owned equipment in the SCIF. Provide assistance to the IT/COMM Manager in planning and assigning work and maintaining a smooth workflow with the SCIF and C-CS department. Focal point for all Air Force / Space Force standard system and AFNIC installation or removal projects, as well as owning and executing unique Comm and IT projects. Maintain C-CS projects and related files including associated documentation (C4). Functions as the primary site Communications and JWICS ISSO. Supports various operations programs such as the LAN, NIPRNET, SIPRNET, EMSEC, and frequency management, as directed. The work location for this position is Cavalier AFS, ND. Essential Job Functions * Monitor all applicable C-CS projects. * Mentor and train junior staff members within the C-CS department. * Monitors and maintains documentation for all applicable JWICS projects. * Develops and manages RMF plans and packages for Comm and JWICS systems. * Manages account administration for JWICS, SIPR, and NIPR. * Administers and configures Cisco and Juniper routers and switches. * Processes, administers, and analyzes Cyber Security data and risks. * Provides MST relief on an as needed basis. * Develops rapport and work with assigned ISSMs. * Maintains the Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Facility (SCIF). * Maintain SCIF terminals, equipment and cabling/connections to the JWICS node/demarcation point. Coordinate JWICS service interruptions with the appropriate service provider or organization. * Coordinate SCIF modifications in advance of work with AFSPC/SSO to ensure certification requirements are maintained. * Coordinate maintenance actions with the on-site COR and DO in advance to ensure SCIF can be cleared for performance of maintenance functions. * Routine facility maintenance of the SCIF. * Develops and maintains LWC for Preventative maintenance. * Coordinate with SCIF personnel and schedule time for facility maintenance on a noninterference basis and in order to allow time for SCIF sanitization and escort by cleared personnel. * Review project support agreements and other implementation documentation to ensure all requested support can be accomplished. * Monitor and take necessary steps to ensure site required actions associated with NOTAMS, NOSC taskings, and AFCERT messages are completed within specified dates. * Prepare necessary correspondence, records, and files to include administrative files, publications files, Communications Computer System Installation Records, and equipment historical records. * Monitor inside and outside site cable plant records for currency; assist in their proper maintenance * Verify leased communications services. * Initiate and participate in site Communications-Computer System Requirements Board; maintain record files for board actions. * Prepare and update contractor required computer security plans. * Be aware of work hazards associated with the job duties and control measures required to counteract them. * Participate in relevant quality, environmental, safety, security, and Full Spectrum Threat Response programs. * Maintain job proficiency by participating in the training program. * Develop rapport and work directly with military personnel working within the SCIF. * Provide weekly status reports of relevant action items within the SCIF and other active projects. * Other duties as assigned. Required Skills Required Qualifications: * Experience in communications computer systems with some base or site level experience in communications logistics support. * Experience in LANs and in preparing small computer security system plans. * Possess a working knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, CLI, Active Directory, and Microsoft operating systems and programs. * Ability to creatively solve problems and independently work issues to completion. Preferred Qualifications: * JWICS and working knowledge in a SCIF environment strongly preferred. * Experience with Group Policy, Telephone Switches, and PA Systems preferred. * Experience in a Senior, Lead, and/or Supervisory role in an IT environment. * Current Secret clearance Education * High School Diploma or GED is required. Associate''s degree in Information Technology or related field is preferred. * Qualified candidates must also have one or more of the following certifications: Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GSEC, GICSP, SSCP certification Work Environment Office environment Physical Requirements The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: Close vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
