Responsible for ensuring the manufacturing of products in planned quantities, at budgeted cost, within safety expectations and of desired quality. Major Responsibilities: Manages the production department across 3 shifts while ensuring the manufacturing of products in planned quantities, at budgeted cost, and of desired quality. Provides hiring, promotion and disciplinary action recommendations. Conducts performance evaluations and feedback for direct reports. Focuses on career development and growth for direct reports and assists with the development of production associates. Ensures all safety procedures are followed and metrics met. Manages the most difficult problems involving the manufacturing process. Liaison with functional or operational area managers (e.g. in supply and logistics, or sales) to understand current and future product needs and develops plans, cost estimates, and schedules for integrating these needs into existing manufacturing activities. Provides supervision and guidance to Production Supervisors. Leads activities and projects to support continuous improvement in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, and cost reduction. Bachelor''s degree or equivalent related experience required. 7 years in Materials, Engineering, Quality or Production required- 3 years in Leadership role. Advanced degree in Engineering or Quality a plus Proven success in managing teams while focusing on career development Problem solving and high level thinking Ability to multi task and work in a high paced environment.
