Job Description Summary: The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing the successful delivery of Rocket products throughout the software development lifecycle as well as planning / managing non-product initiatives. They would be able to take complex projects at any phase and get alignment with all stakeholders on objectives, schedules and clearly define milestones to keep the project on track. The Senior Project Manager provides full transparency into project status, provides well-formed data analysis, and holds team members accountable for dependently manage large, complex, enterprise multi-workstream projects that include internal & external stakeholders. Projects can vary from technology refresh or upgrade projects through to major transformations of business systems. During a project, the Senior PM acts as the primary interface to the customer. The PM is expected to know and follow the Rocket delivery methodology.Essential Duties and Responsibilities :Manage strategic, complex business consulting engagements involving Rocket, partner, customer, and 3rd party stakeholdersAccountable as central point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.Establishment of an effective project governance structureDevelop and maintain project plans and schedules, identifying key milestones, resource requirements, pre-requisites, and dependencies as well as risk visibility and mitigation.Ensure project charter, goals and objectives are defined and met. This includes helping to define and document timelines, budget, and resource requirements to deliver quality outcomes.Collaborate with stakeholders for creation of cross-functional interlock and supportive procedures to deliver on-time projects.Manage multiple concurrent projectsCommunicate clearly at various levels of the organization both with written, verbal and presentation skills.Must be team oriented with ability to facilitate effective meetings, handle conflict resolution, and create approachable environment.Work with multiple teams to transition project solution knowledge and ownership.Keep projects on track byManaging: Project schedules, deliverables, scope, resource forecasts, risks, communicationPlanning: Securing resources according to agreed project scheduleMeasuring: Checking project progress toward meeting its objectivesEvaluating: Determining the cause of deviations from the planDetermining and taking corrective actionsManage communication and alignment of customer and stakeholder responsibilities and expectations,Required Qualifications: Prince 2 or PMI (Project Management Institute) certification requiredMinimum 7 years Senior level Project Management experience with a technology vendor or systems integrator, working with external clients and partnersExperience managing large complex enterprise multi-stream software implementation projectsExperience with managing the deployment of multi-platform software solutions across mainframe and distributed systemsKnowledge of Content Management technology (e.g., Mobius, FileNet, OpenText, Documentum, etc.) strongly preferredExcellent communication skills across various functional teams and executive management, including the ability to communicate between technical and non-technical contributorsDriven to maintain highly organized and efficient management of assigned portfolioExcellent listening, judgement, and problem-solving skillsStrong drive to deliver exceptional outcomesPreferred Qualifications: Knowledge of databases and database concepts (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.)Knowledge of distributed operating systems (Linux, Windows), with experience with cloud technologies (AWS (Amazon Web Services), Azure, etc.)Knowledge of Web Application Servers (WebSphere, Tomcat)Knowledge of REST API (Application Programming Interface) (or Java APIs (Application Programming Interface))Additional program, portfolio management and software development methodology certificationEducation: Bachelor''s degree or equivalent experience Travel Requirements: Information Security: Information security is everyones responsibility.
