Plan and direct resource schedules as well as project budgets. Monitor the product/program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with customer on technical matters. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the product/program/project on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction. Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations is important. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development and product management. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area preferred. Please include this Job ID: 166615 in the subject line of the email.ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a Compliance Lead in our External Standards and Community Engagement team focused on the Oracle Cloud and AI business portfolio. We strongly prefer this person work in the US and must be able to work within a global team and the digital services space, customers require assurances that services (like cloud offerings) meet certain standards (among other requirements). Tracking these requirements is important for responding to RFPs, communicating offerings to customers, and planning for new or acquired datacenters. The mission of the External Standards and Community Engagement is to encourage, coordinate, and facilitate Oracles engagement in external technical standards setting organizations and related activities to meet business needs. The lead of the Standards Compliance program coordinates and supports the companys critical standards compliance interests and supports an information hub for the companys cloud and AI offerings, providing data and standards compliance related information to multiple parts of the company.We are seeking a versatile, dynamic Director to drive and continue developing a lightweight corporate coordination function to inform and advocate for our cloud and AI standards compliance teams across Oracle.You will own responsibilities for managing and driving initiatives supporting all aspects of compliance related standards development and engagement management.You will work directly with compliance program leaders, product managers, government affairs, and legal to execute operational and strategic initiatives. You will drive the groups impact and internal visibility.Key Responsibilities IncludeDevelop and drive strategic objectives of the standards compliance program based on business drivers and external trends.Maintain contacts and manage relationships with standards compliance stakeholders across the company to understand current business drivers and needs.Identify critical trends, standards, technical requirements, and testing/certification/labeling initiatives that can impact the companys ability to go to market.Track and join, staff, or form internal working groups to support representing Oracles interests in external engagements (e.g. formal or consortia standards; NIST, ENISA, METI, etc documents)Work with sales and deals teams to serve as an ombudsman for standards/compliance and open source requests from customers.Represent the companys open source and compliance objectives to developer communitiesLead or join cross-organizational initiatives to develop Oracle-wide procedures for emerging cybersecurity and AI reporting requirements/requests, in line with external standards (e.g. software bills of materials (SBOMs), incident reporting).Recommend and justify changes to existing compliance processes that will have an impact across Oracle BUs (e.g. automating processes).Support development of company best practices and/or strategy for BUs to roll out major standards compliance programs.Determine and drive improvements, update processes, and frequency to gather and share information (in our internal information hub and elsewhere).Support teams, as needed, to define internal standard practices and procedures.Support current compliance programs while continuously contemplating and advocating for changes/municate the trends/state of affairs of our compliance teams to senior management and leaders across the business.Identify new trends and requirements for emerging standards areas (e.g. AI) and provide recommendations to management.What skills we are looking for:5 years or more experience relevant to compliance/governance program/project management (related to international standards such as ISO/IEC 27001, sector or national voluntary consensus standards such as AICPA SOC 1 and 2, government standards such as FedRAMP, or using standards to address compliance to regulations such as GDPR) or related experience.Specific cloud, cybersecurity, and privacy governance, risk, compliance, or auditing experience.Demonstrated experience in the development of new processes for managing large-scale compliance (or similar) programs and reporting.A track record of effective stakeholder engagements and collaboration as well as consensus-building.Able to lead and work within an international/remote team environment.Able to quickly prepare and provide written and oral briefings to management.Mastery of MS-Office suite producing macro driven reports, dashboards, and tracking reports for management as well as tools such as Confluence, Jira, or Asana.Excellent communications (written/verbal), interpersonal, and organizational skills.BS/BA or MS degree in a related field such as engineering, computer science, accounting, etc.About UsDiversity and Inclusion:An Oracle career can span industries, roles, Countries and cultures, giving you the opportunity to flourish in new roles and innovate, while blending work life in.
