Job DescriptionQuality Assurance Analyst Position Summary The QA Analyst is primarily responsible for testing the latest software updates coming from various development teams and ensuring the accuracy and stability of the changes. This also includes performing various manual tests (specific as well as exploratory) and for executing automated tests during each release cycle and reporting the results to various team members. They will also assist in the validation of newly created automated tests for applications to help expedite the testing process. This person will attend daily stand-up meetings with the team as well as provide insight into potential improvements of the QA testing sequence and application usability. Job Family Responsibilities: The QA Analyst will participate in the daily testing of various systems and validating automated testing modules. Assistance with releases as needed and running additional performance benchmarks. Tasks and Qualifications: Key Responsibilities: Test software changes for accuracy and ensures system stability on multiple applications Provide exploratory testing of the applications especially when dealing with cross-application integration features Run automated and report on automated tests Run manual tests against pre-defined test cases Validate UI-based automated tests created by others (application-specific as well as cross-application) Generate/update reports based on test results Education: The QA Analyst must have a 4-year college degree related to Computer Science or Engineering or similar work experience in a similar environment. Knowledge and Experience: At least 5-years working in a QA role supporting application testing Excellent written and verbal communication skills Good technical skills and ability to learn new applications quickly Strong problem-solving skills; self-starter; detail-oriented Excellent time management skills Ability to meet deadlines Strong desire to learn and grow in the position Work 40 hours a week, but willing and able to work evenings or weekends as needed Strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of planning, analysis, and testing techniques are required to support Windows-based and web-based applications Experience in a Scrum / Kanban environment using Jira / Confluence is recommended Strongly prefer candidates with previous experience working with development using the CET Configura Magic development language. tech - provided by Dice
