ASRC Federal Systems Solutions is seeking an Electrical / Electronics Engineer to support ongoing operations at the FAA in Oklahoma City, OK. Overview: This position will support the Voice Switch Engineering Team to provide 2nd level engineering support for communications systems through directive development, design of equipment modifications, technical issuances, and field support. The Engineer assists the System Specialist in identifying, troubleshooting, and correcting problems, support restoration of sites after outages, issue hardware and software modifications and ensure NAS systems (National Airspace System) are supportable during their lifecycle. This position will apply engineering principles to analyze and test electronic system performance, develop software applications and produce engineering prototypes, studies and technical documentation. Responsibilities: * Provide technical guidance in the procurement of new equipment and services * Provide technical assistance in the installation, operation, and maintenance of equipment and services * Troubleshoot equipment failures, conduct testing of equipment and services * Generate documentation for troubleshooting and maintaining equipment and services * Develop, test, and deploy network configurations including routing and switching * Establish and maintain equipment support facilities * Assess the security status of equipment * Provide on-site restoration; develop purchase descriptions for modification kits * Review program-related documents * Provide engineering consultations, investigations and documentation of findings (i.e.-white papers, engineering study reports) * Develop briefings and presentations * Create HRD/PTR documentation (hardware discrepancy report/program trouble report Requirements * Bachelor of Science in an ABET accredited Engineering discipline (Electrical/Electronic preferred) * 4 Years of Experience in communications field preferred * Coursework in areas including electrical, electronics, signals, analog and digital communications * Familiarity with the following software: C, NI Multisim and MATLAB * Familiarity with Electronics Lab Equipment/Devices * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Ability to pass an FAA background investigation * US Citizenship is preferred or Permanent Residency * Ability to travel up to 25% if required ASRC Federal and its Subsidiaries are Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employers.
