Associate (Corporate Securities)

San Francisco, CaliforniaJob DescriptionThe San Francisco office of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP has an immediate opening for a corporate associate with 2 to 3 years of experience to join its Corporate & Securities practice section. Candidates should have experience in all aspects of mergers and acquisitions involving both public and private companies, including drafting and negotiating acquisition agreements and ancillary documents, supervising junior associates, and otherwise managing and closing transactions, as well as experience working with emerging technology companies, including corporate formation, seed and venture financings, general corporate work, and governance and compliance matters. Candidates should have a high level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school and exceptional oral, written and interpersonal skills, with strong attention to detail, and should be ambitious/highly motivated, have a strong work ethic and leadership skills, an interest in taking on increased levels of responsibility, good business and strategic judgment, and an ability to handle day-to-day demands and workflow of working in a team-orientated and dynamic environment. The candidate must have a Bachelor''s degree and a Juris Doctor degree (JD) from an accredited law school. Admission to practice in California is strongly preferred but not required, and the candidate must be a member, or eligible to become a member, of the California State Bar. Ideal candidates will have experience from an AmLaw 100 firm, preferably in the San Francisco Bay Area.
