The ideal candidate would ensure that heating, plumbing and electrical systems perform at optimum functionality. They would also be well rounded in the trades with a strong background in electrical repairs, have an eye for attention to detail, be able to work independently or within a team, troubleshoot problems and have a solid knowledge of mechanical systems. Capability to read, understand and apply electrical, mechanical and pneumatic schematics and diagrams is a must for this candidate. Daily tasks will vary day-to-day based on what needs attention at the time, but can frequently include repairs, aesthetic work or tending to the facility critical equipment. A professional appearance in line with the environment in which we work will be key. Essentially, the goal is to maintain the facilities and common areas in the best possible condition. Essential Job Duties:Assist the Facilities Manager to ensure project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards are in accordance with company policyRespond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel, follow safety protocolConduct maintenance of electrical systems, plumbing systems, roofing systems, etcSurvey and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety regulationsSupport the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessaryPerform drywall repair, painting, general carpentry, etc.Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionalityInspect alarm systems such as carbon dioxide and fire protection and schedule repairs when neededUndertake basic demo and rebuilds on wall and ceiling systemsAbility to drive a service vehicle, maintain inventory and manage appropriate documentationExtensive experience using maintenance and remodel tools such as hand tools, power tools, shop tools, HVAC tools, plumbing tools and electrical tools.Other duties as assigned Internal Contacts: Bank staff as necessaryExternal Contacts:General Contractors, Sub-Contractors and Vendors as neededKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required to Enter the Job:2+ years proven working experience in commercial building mechanical systemsBasic understanding of electrical, HVAC, plumbing in a commercial environmentStrong understanding of general maintenance processes and methodologiesExperienced in operating a variety of equipment, including snow blowers, carpentry equipment, hand tools and air powered toolsWorking knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devicesOutstanding written and verbal communication skillsExcellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skillsAbility to work evenings and weekends as required for on-call rotationAbility to lift 75 lbs., climb ladders and operate basic tools of the tradeClean driving record with current licenseMust be able to meet regular attendance requirements and schedules established for the department.
