Maxar is seeking a Senior Acquisition SME to perform a broad set of duties contributing to an existing and growing team on an exciting and challenging technical collection missions. This position will support advanced technical intelligence and space / counterspace programs and their associated infrastructure. Life With Us Project: The Senior Acquisition SME will work independently and as part of a cross-functional team comprised of technical experts supporting an established and growing Intelligence Community (IC) mission. You will help the government with budgeting, planning, and reporting support for a DoD special access program (SAP). You will need to quickly understand complex technical concepts, make assessments, and articulate your recommendations to the customer. Day-to-Day with your colleagues: * You will support the Government in planning, drafting, editing, coordinating, tracking and ensuring completion of tasks are on schedule for annual SAP reporting to DoD, Congress and other Government agencies .* You will help e stablish and measure appropriate goals for cost, schedule and performance for the system acquisition programs .* You will be a vital member of a multi-disciplined team. You will be embedded with government and Maxar staff, filling a critical function of their organization. Our customer runs a high-speed operational tempo, and you will be looked upon to provide expertise in support of their mission.* You will provide expert advice to the customer on SAP reporting to DoD and Congress as it impact s their mission, providing polished and effective communications across their stakeholders.* You will integrate senior level correspondence, briefings, reports and papers for executive level audiences. You will create drafts for senior review.* You will plan, coordinate, review, and edit content of scientific, technical, and programmatic material. Minimum Requirements: * Must have current/active TS/SCI security clearance and be willing and able to obtain CI polygraph.* Bachelor''s degree (4 additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree).* 8+ years of relevant supporting DoD / IC.* Experience in DoD systems acquisition program management processes.* Exceptional writing and editing skills using Microsoft Office to ensure finished documentation and displays are concise, complete, accurate and clear.* Excellent written and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: * Advanced degree.* Experience in DoD material capability requirements management processes.* Experience building sound processes to develop, document, tracking coordinate, assess, validate and approve S&T capability requirements to inform planning, programming, budgeting and evaluation (PPB&E) and systems acquisition program management.* Project Management Professional (PMP) or other project/acquisitions-oriented management certification DAWIA II, CAPM, Prince2, etc.* Senior level experience engaging and communicating with general officers, field grade officers, and civilian senior executive service officers.* Expert user in Microsoft Professional Software applications.* Experience and knowledge of Measurement and Signatures Intelligence (MASINT) programs and methods. cjpost Maxar employees must follow all applicable Maxar policies and COVID-19 requirements as well as those of Maxar customers and third parties.
