Position Summary: The NBA''s NextGen Platform Services group is looking for a talented product owner to build the platform and tooling powering the NextGen experience including Subscriptions and Payment, Content Management, SEO, Personalization, Data Products, and User Identity. This individual will play a key role in product development initiatives that shape the future of the NBA''s ongoing digital transformation.The NextGen Platform Services group leads the strategy for the NBA''s global direct-to-consumer platform and services powering experiences available globally in over 215 territories. NextGen at the NBA is a multi-platform experience that connects NBA fans to free and premium content while innovating in the delivery of live games, personalized experiences, community features, emerging technologies, and monetization opportunities globally. Major Responsibility: Own platform products end-to-end, driving product discussions (e.g. vision, goals, tenets, roadmap) across teams. Develop a product vision, growth strategy and OKRs. Define product strategy and help prioritize the roadmap for the NBA''s NextGen platform services and overall platform. Lead and perform daily product management activities including writing product specs and requirements, as well as crafting high level technical and user experience flows Partner with consumer experience product team to understand business and user needs and align platform delivery milestones and dependencies Effectively support the product design, engineering and QA teams throughout sprint cycles by proactively removing roadblocks and prioritizing work items based on established outcomes and business objectives Build and manage relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders, including product owners, product marketing, content, operations, sponsorship sales, commerce, external vendors and executives Review frequent application builds to ensure on-time delivery and overall product quality Required Skills/Knowledge: 5+ years in digital product development for core platform and internal tooling with a proven track record of successful launches Exposure to working with premium subscription products/services using AVOD, TVOD or SVOD business model(s) Excellent communicator to senior-level executives (written and in-person); able to adapt communication style across audiences and stakeholder groups. Self-starter who is energetic & enthusiastic, confident, adaptable & customer-oriented Experience producing wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and user interaction diagrams Experience with Agile methodologies such as scrum or Kanban.
