Job Description PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:* Perform cyber threat emulation services at the government''s direction* Provide expertise and support in: penetration testing; Cyber aggression; Cyber tool development* Employ automated tools and manual techniques to look for known vulnerabilities and attempt to exploit these vulnerabilities to understand the likelihood and impact of the exposure* Provide subject matter expertise as cyber opposing forces (OPFOR) in support of Mission-Based Cybersecurity Risk Assessments (MBCRA) in the form of Cyber Table Top (CTT) events* Support opposition force (OPFOR) activities during MBCRA planning, event execution, and post-event analysis* Document MBCRA results and related assessment and analysis activities in summary and event completion reports Requirements Scientific Research Corporation is recruiting for part of an IDIQ Contract to provide National Cyber Range Complex (NCRC) Event Planning and Operations Support (EPOS). This contract spans across a 10-year timeline with possibilities for extension, and both Lot 1 and Lot 2 award potential. The DoD Test Resource Management Center (TRMC) is partnering with the Services to increase the capacity and capabilities of the National Cyber Range Complex (NCRC) MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:* Bachelor''s degree with a focus in computer science, or a focus in computer and information sciences, information technology, management information systems, or a related discipline with corresponding experience and demonstrated mastery of relevant computer science and software engineering topics.* At least 3+ years'' experience with cyber testing or training to include experience with defensive and offensive cyber tools and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP)* Experience and familiarity with common OS environments* Familiarity with common tools employed by attackers and their TTP* Familiarity with cybersecurity defenses such as Intrusion Prevention/Detection System, Firewalls, etc, * Expertise on Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) for Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Government-off-the-Shelf products* Experience as security control and vulnerability assessor* Hands-on experience as a Penetration and Adversarial Tester (Red Team)* Experience analyzing data from varied information sources to identify potential vulnerabilities and attack vectors* Familiarity with Python, Perl, or Ruby and crafting custom scripts* Understanding of TCP/IP and computer networkingDESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:* Master''s degree with a focus in computer science, cyber security, information assurance, software engineering, or cyber operations * At least five (5) years'' of related cybersecurity experience* Expert knowledge of defensive and offensive cyber tools and TTPSRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET / SCI LEVEL ABOUT US Scientific Research Corporation is an advanced information technology and engineering company that provides innovative products and services to government and private industry, as well as independent institutions.
