Job Description

Innophos is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to optimize assets and reduce downtime of the various production units through coordination and motivation of the maintenance teams in their day to day operations and by implementation of maintenance techniques and process improvements.The incumbent is responsible to maintain 24/7 availability of production equipment and facilities to make sure that all employees work safely and as efficiently as possible. Reach goal by achieving the best balance between contractors and internal work force, within the departmental budget at all times.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance (approximately 40% of time)Develop and implement equipment reliability initiativesAssist production to optimize plant productivity and qualityTechnical resource for production personnelProvide technical leadership for employees in implementing long term solutions to recurrent problemsProvide troubleshooting and problem solving as neededReview and optimize the predictive and preventive maintenance programsParticipate in meetings related to plant operation or improvement projects and communicate the results to other maintenance employeesWork closely with production departments in solving specific problems required to maintain the operability of the planAssist in the management and administration of the plant control networkProjects (approximately 35% of time)Implement improvement projects (scope, cost estimation, request capital money, supervision of fieldwork, commissioning)Investigate frequent equipment failures to help identify root cause and implement long-term solutionsOversee outside contractors as necessarySafety, Health & Environmental (approximately 10% of time)Responsible for maintaining the Safety, Health and Environmental standards, actively participating in employee safety training, hazard prevention and control, worksite analysis, and exercising management leadershipResponsible for conducting pre-job safety reviews as necessaryQuality & Food Safety (approximately 10% of time)Perform training for both salary and hourly personnel as requiredOversee MOC process as it relates to the tasks of the positionFulfill responsibilities which ensure food safety, legality, and quality through proper design of manufacturing processesGeneral (approximately 5% of time)Work with plant teams to achieve plant objectivesPerform other tasks as assignedCommunicate with area coordinators as neededPerform as designee for the E/I Coordinator position(s) in the absence of the responsible personRequired Education And ExperienceBachelor''s degree in Engineering preferably Electrical or Electrical Engineering Technology3 or more years of industrial experience electrical and control systems experienceRequired Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesWorking knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills Good verbal/written communication and organizational skills Ability to collaborate with colleagues and to support the maintenance teams Demonstrated ability and growth potential to progress to a leadership position within the organizationUnderstanding of good engineering and safety practicesAbility to estimate, plan, schedule and complete work orders in a timely fashion Ability to manage budget and to estimate costs related to various projectsEnvironmental and/or Physical RequirementsFrequent climbing ladder/stairs, standing, bending, temperature changes, and plant visitsOccasional lifting (avg 20 lbs-max 70 lbs), squatting, office workRarely operates mobile equipment (Cushman/ Pick up truck)About InnophosInnophos is a leading international producer of specialty ingredient solutions that deliver far-reaching, versatile benefits for the food, health, nutrition and industrial markets.
