A hospital in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their growing Advanced Illness Management program (AIM) in a Managerial capacity. In this role, the Advanced Illness Program Manager (NP) will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the the program.Responsibilities:The Advanced Illness Program Manager (NP) will:Provide expert clinical care to AIM and Palliative Care patientsEnsue that the standards of practice for patient care are maintainedParticipate in developing and implementing divisional plans and programsFacilitate educational training; reviews reportsServe as a resource to unit staff in AIM mattersPerform other duties, as neededQualifications: 1+ year of experience as Nurse Practitioner (NP) in a Palliative Care environmentBachelor''s DegreeGraduate of an Nurse Practitioner (NP) programNYS Nurse Practitioner (NP) licenseCompletion in a Pharmacy component of not less than three semester hours or the equivalentPrevious instruction in NYS and Federal laws relating to prescriptions and record keepingSolid assessment, clinical, and documentation skillsPatient orientedGreat interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Strong attention to detailHighly organized
