Equestrian Attendant(Riding instructor/Trail guide)

Salamander Resort and Spa- 5 Star Luxury resort located in Middleburg, VA is looking for an experienced Full Time Equestrian Attendant The ideal candidate will be responsible for the full care of the resort horses and guest horses; feeding, grooming, cleaning stalls/paddocks and for keeping the Equestrian Center facility and grounds neat and orderly. Teach riding and horsemanship lessons to a variety of skill levels, ages and disciplines. Guide on property trail rides, give pony rides and teach children''s programs. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS• Providing a high level customer service to guests and visitors• Front & rear guiding of one hour trail rides• Riding instruction on the flat to riders of all experience level• Give facility tours to visitors and answer questions• Daily care of all horses including but not limited to: feeding & watering, grooming, clipping, first aid, bathing, blanketing• Daily stable chores including but not limited to: stall cleaning, field & paddock maintenance, laundry, tack cleaning, washing aisles• Safety conscious at all times to ensure the well-being of all guests and horses• Drives a small utility terrain vehicle (UTV)• Oher miscellaneous duties as assignedEDUCATION & RELATED EXPERIENCE• High School Diploma or equivalent. • Competent rider & horsemen with a minimum of 5 years'' experience• Must be 18 years of age or older.• Customer service experience• A strong background, knowledge and experience in working with horses in a professional setting• Knowledge of correct, classical riding and teaching, and high quality horsemanship standards, or willingness to learn. Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: • Valid Driver''s License Required • Any other equine related certifications (Ex.
