The company, privately held, is headquartered in Los Angeles, California with offices throughout the world.OverviewThe Sales Manager will ensure the sales team at the facility meets all individual and departmental sales goals.This position is responsible for the overall tasks related to Sales for the facility and will also lead all sales personnel in establishing goals, procedures and daily duties.Responsibilities Reports to Senior Sales Manager. Represent the facility as its primary sales reprsentative both locally and out of town. Attends Trade Shows and industry functions as a representative of the destination. Researches, identifies and establishes the apporpriateness of groups for the facility. Contacts propective user groups and individuals to initiate the sales effort. Discusses the facility with site selection committees or appropriate others. Assists in developing and implementing the sales/marketing activities of the facility including developing budget submissions and follow-through systems and procedures. Meets specified assigned sales goals and objectives. Initiates written and oral communivation internally and externally. Promptly responds to all customer calls and requests within a 24-hour period. Participate in local and community organization networking opportunities.'' Communicates problems and proposed solutions to the Senior Sales Manager. Submits weekls sales activity reports and performs related duties as required. Will perform outside sales calls and solicitation calls as required. Work cohesively with other departments. Attend internal meetings and represents the facility as deemed necessary. Adheres to sales guidelins and procedures when booking business. Participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities of all Sales programs and activities Support all services and activities of the Sales Department within the facility including sales tools and materials, proposals, sales calls and contracts Participate in the administration of the annual budget. Prepare written proposals; reevaluate potential business value of various events and clients; initiate contractual arrangements Conduct tours of facility for potential licensees; answer questions and provide information regarding facility capabilities Responsible for all revenue generation Perform other duties and responsibilities as assignedQualifications Minimum of 3-5 years of increasingly responsible sales experience for an arena, convention center, sports franchise, hotel or other similar public assembly or hospitality facility, including supervisory responsibility Bachelors degree or better from an accredited college or university with major course works in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field Ability to work event nights, weekends and holidays as required Has a strong track record of building relationships and generating new business Excellent organizational skills, leadership skills, customer service skills Enthusiastic and positive thinker Strong PC and data processing skills; working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, as well as database management softwareStrengthened by our Differences.
