Sr BI Analyst (Tableau)

The Senior Tableau Business Intelligence Analyst/Developer is responsible for managing the life cycle of Tableau analytics dashboards, including requirements gathering, functional specification write-up, prototyping, development, quality testing, user acceptance testing, roll-out and post-launch enhancements implementation. You should have the ability to design engaging and interactive business insights dashboards and possess the knowledge and experience on data visualizations best practices, with a focus on enhancing user interaction and user experience. This role will maintain in-depth knowledge of Tableau and Tableau Prep as an analytic and visualization tool and new features as they become available. In this role, you will work on strategic and high impact projects with various business stakeholders, including high visibility to executive leadership.Reports to the CEO and this person must be able to communicate well with technical and non-technical people. Responsibilities'' Analyze/curate large volumes of data using various tools like Tableau Prep, Alteryx, SQL, etc.'' Develop, maintain, and manage advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards and other BI solutions.'' Perform and document data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design.'' Develop and own validation processes to ensure data accuracy across various dashboards including developing unit tests and database queries to analyze the effects and troubleshoot any issues.'' Resolve issues and bug fixes as part of the validation process and maintain the new feature request roadmap.'' Provide recommendations for reporting improvements and build proof-of-concept processes utilizing best practices for data management.'' Build dashboard tutorials, document process flows, best practices, and requirements of various use cases in a way that can be understood by technical and business stakeholders.'' Manage row level security, access, and performance aspect of the Tableau dashboard.'' Support ad-hoc dashboard and data requests to provide insights to various teams.'' Act as Tableau Developer and Subject Matter Expert (SME) as well as work closely with internal teams to ensure data sources are accurate, available, and analyzable.'' Create and edit queries within Tableau to build calculated fields.'' Create interactive filters, parameters, and calculations for preparing dashboards and worksheets in Tableau.'' Build and publish interactive dashboards on Tableau Server. Collaborate with internal teams, clean, and standardize data to meet the business requirements.'' Work cross-functionally with various departments including business stakeholders and technical personnel to exchange ideas.'' Build, develop and provide training on new and existing dashboards to various business units.Skills And Experience'' Bachelor''s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience'' 3-4 years of experience designing and developing business intelligence dashboards using Tableau'' Experience using Tableau Desktop, Tableau Prep, and Server a plus'' 4+ years of experience in Business Intelligence/Analytics requiredNice to have:'' Solid experience with Tableau Prep, Tableau security/row-level security and dashboard performance tuning'' Hands on experience with Tableau Desktop (dashboard creation, report authoring and troubleshooting, data source management).''
