OverviewOverview:General Dynamics a world class aerospace defense contractor conveniently located in Anniston AL, seeks a qualified Program Manager to support its Ordnance and Tactical Systems (OTS) Anniston Operations facility. Start your next mission by applying today!Major Position ResponsibilitiesPOSITION PURPOSE: Manages activities concerned with programs to include the purchase or sale of equipment, materials, products, and/or services for the GD-OTS (Anniston) facility by performing the following duties.MAJOR ACTIVITIES-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Supports the development and implementation of strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals and expectations. Examines estimates of material, equipment, and production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure completeness and accuracy. Prepares bids, process specifications, test and progress reports, and other exhibits that may be required. Reviews bids from other firms for conformity to contract requirements and assists in determining acceptable bids. Supports GD-OTS International Business Development Team in the pursuit of new opportunities and negotiates contracts with customers or bidders. Requests amendments to or extensions of contracts, as necessary. Advises planning and production departments of contractual rights and obligations. Compiles data for preparing estimates. Maintains contract and contractor status for assigned programs. Reviews all correspondence concerning contractors and responds as necessary. Establishes and maintains contact with contractors to ensure the smooth working of the contract awarding process. Coordinates work of contracts, production and shipping departments to implement fulfillment of contracts. Acts as liaison between company and subcontractor through contracts department and procurement. Leads multi-disciplinary teams in executing contracts to achieve cost, schedule and performance requirements. Other duties may be assigned.Basic QualificationsPREFERRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS: (Education, Training, Years Experience, Special Skills or Limitations) Bachelor''s degree from a four-year college or university; and 5+ years related experience. Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems. Government contracts experience required. Aerospace defense preferred.
