A majority of our freight is dedicated, round trip. Drivers would operate between Postal facilities and/or relay points.May be required to load and unload trailer, either individually or with assistance of dock workers, with or without mechanical freight-handling equipment.Job Features:Hourly PaySupport of 24/7 Dispatch Team10 Paid HolidaysPaid Vacation after your first yearShort Term DisabilityMedical and Prescription PlansDental, Vision and Life Insurance (both employee and dependent)401(k) availableJob Eligibility Requirements:Must have a minimum 1 year verifiable Tractor-Trailer experienceClass A CDL for tractor/trailer (no hazmat)Must have a good motor vehicle recordNo more than 1 ticket in the previous 12 monthsNo more than 3 tickets in the previous 36 monthsNo more than 2 at fault accidents in previous 5 yearsNo at fault fatality accidentNo pending proceedings for suspension of driver''s license or suspension of driver''s license in previous 36 monthsNo revoked license in previous 5 yearsMust be able to clear Postal Security ScreeningMust have registered with the Selective Service System (Military Draft) if born after January 1, 1960NO felony or misdemeanor convictions with in the past 7 yearsMust be able to work flexible schedules, available to cover vacations, call-ins etc.Must have ability to read, write and speak in EnglishMust have knowledge of DOT regulations governing hours of service, safe driving and vehicle inspectionsFull Time Driver Expectations:Operate to destination within designated time standards for run: routes are generally scheduled for up to 50 hours per week but occasionally drivers may work up to a max of 70 hours in 8 days.Layover in truck or motel as needed for coverage purposesOpen availability including weekends and holidays (Full Time Drivers) for coverage purposesOperate daytime or nighttime hoursInspect truck/trailer for defects and safe operation condition, before, during and after trips and submit reports indicating truck condition at the end of the tripAssist in loading and unloading by pushing/pulling wheeled containers on or off trailersMust remain flexible (as DOT hours will allow) to operate on non-scheduled days with other drivers in order to cover dispatch needsRequiredPreferredJob IndustriesTransportation
