Olin Corporation is seeking a Instrument and Electrical Reliability Engineer. This position will be located at the Freeport, TX manufacturing site. The primary role of the I&E Reliability Engineer (RE) is to increase the reliability of the production units across the site as related to instrument and electrical systems. The RE will need to apply reliability principles, existing knowledge of equipment, and various reliability tools to identify solutions for the top reliability opportunities for the site. The RE will need to collaborate with the Maintenance Engineers (ME), Production Engineers, Plant Operations personnel, Improvement Engineers, Site Daily Maintenance and Turnaround personnel and others to accomplish this goal. Read on to learn more about this exciting opportunity to join our winning team.Essential Job Functions:Decrease production losses related to I&E issues to meet the operational reliability and asset utilization goals for the various production units.Develop and drive implementation of I&E reliability plans.Develop Reliability Strategies for all high-risk and selected medium-high-risk instrumentation and electrical technologies.Facilitate implementation and compliance with the Olin Asset Integrity Standard (OASIS).Participates in the facilitation and implementation of Olin''s process methodology to perform effective problem analysis and root cause elimination. Evaluate solutions for leveraging across the company.Provide technical expertise for business-critical instrumentation & electrical systems and procedure development. Support production unit turnarounds and capital projects.Act as technical SME for the Instrument and Electrical Technology Services (IETS) team.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor''s Degree* in Engineering; Electrical Engineering preferred5+ years of experience in plant maintenance and/or plant reliability roles.Maintenance/reliability experience with most instrumentation and electrical technologies including but not limited to transmitters (level, pressure, flow, etc.), automated valves, and other process and electrical control systems.Maintenance/reliability experience with high voltage equipment (transformers, recti-formers, rectifiers, motors, generators, etc.).Basic understanding of process control systems.Demonstrated experience in analysis of plant maintenance data such as repair history, cost of ownership analysis, failure rates, operating points, etc. Basic understanding of project management.Prior Olin experience in a related role preferred.What''s in it for you?While many of our employees have worked at Olin for their entire career, we constantly strive to bring new people with new points of view into the company.
