Tasks and ResponsibilitiesThe below list shall apply to all skill levels: Identify records via electronic/hardcopy to be processed, locate records on shelves and move boxes/containers of records to/from each DCC process step.Prepare all document pages for scanning by removing bindings such as staples, rubber bands, and paperclips.Separate pages from all types of bindings - 2-ring binders, 3-ring binders, GBC-type bindings, softcover, hardcover bindings, etc. Operate a paper cutter when necessary to remove sert a variety of bar-coded separator and tracking sheets into each batch of records to distinguish folders and documents during the digitization process.Support Media Inventory.Scan paper and media by using the appropriate scanner.Perform quality control reviews by comparing the digitized document images with the original source material to verify that all pages within the document were scanned accurately and completely. The review shall include a 100% verification of each scanned page image to ascertain image quality. Images which fail the review will be identified and marked for rescanning.Facilitate the import and indexing of digitized document and media into the client''s electronic records repository.Maintain / update databases or spreadsheets. Perform paper, photo, and media scanning.Assist with identifying the hardware and software requirements needed to create images that can meet three (3) star FADGI requirements in order to avoid future rescanning. Assist with implementing three elements of the FADGI digitization process to form a FADGI compliant digitization environment: 1) Technical Guidelines and Parameters 2) Best Practices 3) Digital Imaging Conformance Evaluation (DICE)Assist in creating the Standing Operating Procedure (SOP) for scanner and media equipment.Assist in ordering supplies/equipment and arranging for office equipment repairs.Experience working independently, anticipating and adapting to changing mission requirements and priorities, and managing multiple tasks with minimal guidance.Personnel shall have the ability to climb and operate a moveable warehouse staircase/ladder and lift approximately thirty-five (35) pounds.Required Certification Active TS/SCI clearance and a favorably adjudicated counterintelligence scope or full scope Polygraph.Education and Experience At least a High school diploma, or GED.Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and standard computer applications.The Intermediate level candidate should have medium level of IT awareness and 5+ years of experience performing the more technical aspects of digitization such as knowledge of the various equipment types. Desired Skill Set Detail-orientated.Work well in a team environment.Ability to communicate effectively and concisely using a variety of styles and techniques appropriate to the audience.Ability to participate productively as a contributing member in a team environmentStrong interpersonal skills.Ability to be discreet and maintain confidentiality.Knowledge of proper English usage, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure to ensure that written materials prepared and reviewed are complete, succinct, and formatted correctly.Willing to learn how to use the scanner and media equipment to support Digitization projectFamiliarity with Microsoft Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro, HPE Records Manager Software, and data visualization tools Experience applying/following classification and declassification principles and practices.
